Nope - nothing stolen Cheery - it's stoved the screen in but not actually gone right through as the lamination has kept it mostly intact. They literally rode up, the one from the pillion of the bike ran up, hurled his brick, then hot footed it back to the bike again in a great hurry - he was clearly brave enough to throw it but not brave enough to hang about and risk any consequences. Foxgloves to be honest from the CCTV the perpetrator looked terrified although I imagine they had a bit of a chuckle about how "brave" they were afterwards and from a safe distance!
Banking checked, and amounts worked out now for the balance on the CC bill from last month., quite a lot of "joint fun" type spending which we expect when we're at the beer festival a there are meals and drinks out on setup nights. Rounds of drinks come from our personal spending but actual meals for the two of us go o the card to get sorted later. We'll get some money transferred about between the pair of us and get that cleared - it's all planned in anyway. I'd forgotten to transfer the end of month surplus last month too so that will feel a bit healthier than usual come the end of this month - and might also answer a question about where some of the money to pay Steve is coming from, now I think of it...
On the subject of the beer festival we must also remember that we still have a hotel balance to pay - need to check with Anita how we go about doing that as our expenses claim is tiny and won't offset much of it!
Sticking with the plan for mostly minimal cooking type food in the evenings - last night was tuna salad with a right old mix of veggies involved - tonight will be chicken and sweetcorn pasta salad using the other half of the tin of corn I opened last night, plus a tub of the roast toms and peppers I did the other day. It's definitely to hot to cook much i the evenings - 10 minutes to boil some pasta is just about achievable though!

Morning all - thanks for popping in EG, SG, SA, SG58, SG2 & Beanie. SG2 - I didn't make it to Blackpool although having seen how hazy sunday was I'm not sure I missed much! It rarely works out for me date-wise as it tends to always be too close to the beer festival - a weekend of down-time was far more needed!
The hallway is painted! I am SO pleased with the colour too - this may sound daft but hopefully you'll get what I mean - the colour is exactly what I had in my head, but was struggling to find when we looked at tins and paint charts - even the original little tester patches we slapped onto cupboard doors didn't really quite look right, but now it's all done it just looks fantastic! Hoping Steve will be able to get back before to long to do the floor side of things - particularly the recess between the two front doors so that space can be finished as we desperately need to get the freezer back in there to create space in the spare room! There is shelving to be fitted there too - one of which will eventually take the microwave which in turn makes room for an air fryer in the kitchen... In the longer term I'm actually wondering whether we will even still need the microwave - it doesn't get used a huge amount anyway, and I can see it getting used even less once we have an airfryer/multicooker. Probably a "wait and see" thing I reckon, although if anyone else has experience of this situation I'd be interested to hear it. It's generally going to be an odd one for us anyway I think as I suspect we'll not see much saving financially from getting the air fryer anyway - our cooking (even after the projected price rises for gas this will still hold true) costs us such a small amount for the actual energy used - it's the standing charge that's the killer for us.
Banking checked this morning - Steve has been paid for the decorating and I've also done a couple of shuffles - one to the CC to clear MrEH's share of the august bill, and the other to the VSP to take account of some random £'s & p's in bank accounts. At some stage in the next little while I'll need to get some additional funds shuffled to the holiday account too - and ahead of going away I'll likely also get anything on the CC cleared back, too. That'll pretty much just be food money though I think. Steve's money was done half from the joint account surplus I forgot to shift over last month, and half from the car account which is currently running above where it needs to be. Doing things that way rather than "robbing" the main savings means we'll lose less in interest as the money has come from accounts paying lower interest rates.
My bulk purchase of peanut butter from the big river shop means an additional £15.30 on the grocery spend - however judging by how I've done with the previous supply that should be half a year's worth, and it's a brand I like on all levels so I'm very happy with that. (All being well, if they are back at the Good Food Show the next half-year's worth will also be at a slightly cheaper price!) There will be no further veg-boxes between now and heading off to the Hebrides - the next one due would be too close to us going to be able to be sure of using the contents so I've skipped that. I do need to make a plan for using up the stuff we have from last weekend's box, mind you. I'm feeling relatively uninspired to do much with potatoes at the moment - that will change when the temperature drops a little more though hopefully! Last night's chicken & sweetcorn pasta salad was delicious - and was polished off in short order by MrEH as well. This evening will be the good old favourite of couscous with halloumi and various veggies - must raid the bottom drawer of the freezer to see if there are any pomegranate seeds left, too. The parsley plant on the balcony is still just about producing enough to give me a herby component for it as well which will be nice.
Plans for this evening are just to get myself sorted ready to head away in the morning for Eastbourne - I must also remember to pay for my Dartford Crossing tolls as well - AND must remember that I need to put in MrEH's registration rather than mine as it's his car I'll be taking! Thank goodness for both having the second car, and for hi being able to WFH at the moment - it would have likely left me with either a pretty grim journey or not being able to go at all, realistically, otherwise.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Glad to read you're happy with the hallway colour EH. 👍. It's always a bit of a gamble on what it will look like when dry, despite trying the colour pots!
I wish I could bulk buy groceries and household goods. Alas I have no room!☹️Have a safe journey tomorrow and enjoy the air show. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

We don't have a microwave in the house. Never used it and it took up loads of counter space so it went. Really don't miss it.
The van has one built in but as we are rarely plugged into electric hook up it is mostly used as the bread bin3
