Amber thank you - you’re right, and I’d be the first to tell others the same, so I really need to apply it to myself!Paws, I *very* rarely go there now - and indeed never have much. I’ve got hypoglycaemia which means that a bad hangover for me would be essentially 5 days of feeling utterly shi….well, you get the idea. I think yesterday was as much about other factors playing in as anything else to be honest - when I saw part way through the day that the Garmin was basically saying I had nothing left in the tank that was a bit of a shocker. My resting heart rate was also high all day (over 60, which for me is super-high) and my stress levels didn’t drop all day in spite of doing nothing… RHR has started dropping back this morning, body battery level over half way, and stress levels right down, so things are heading the right way.Today will be another gentle one although we do have “stuff” to do. My foldy bike needs collecting from its first service, we have food shopping to do, the veg box is here and needs unpacking, and there are odds and ends elsewhere to do as well.SH I’m certainly feeling a lot better today, but equally I’m also still not “quite right” so I’m going to take all advice and be kind to myself.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Good that you're practicing self care. Your Garmin sounds interesting in what it is telling you.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

It’s honestly fascinating SH - I knew from previous experience that heart rate readings can tell you a lot in terms of overall health - and an increasing RHR can be a sign of something going on. When I was very ill in 2017 it twice peaked up above 70 - on the day I ended up in hospital it was 73 which it turned out was as a result of my poor heart desperately trying to pump blood faster to get more oxygen to where it needed to go - my iron levels by that stage were so low though that it just couldn’t. The body battery thing I was initially quite sceptical about but it’s now really starting to make sense to me, and is something I should definitely take note of going forward.Just had a lovely quick roast dinner - an hour from start of prep to eating it and still got beautifully crisp roasties! So close to being at the end of our lamb now too - just two lots of chump chops and a rolled breast to go. The best end chops we had with lunch were spectacular, but to be honest the whole lot has been lovely.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I had similar issues with fibroids and anaemia and a hysterectomy a few years ago. Still fascinating about the device too.
Glad you had a lovely roast dinner and are feeling more human.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

SH there are a few fibroid people on here. I decided I really wanted to avoid the hysterectomy route if at all possible - although may fibroids are relatively small they’ve decided to really be quite the nuisance, sadly. Currently managing them with medication and hoping that perimenopause gets on with things soon! 🤣 It’s so reassuring to know that other people out there understand how grotty it can get though!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Bleurgh, yep, grim isn’t it Milann - thanks for dropping by!So, my boss very sensibly elected that he didn’t want me anywhere near the office today, I messaged him yesterday evening so he could make the call as while I’m not unwell enough to be off really in usual circumstances, these are NOT usual circumstances. I don’t blame him in the least, so here I am on the sofa. As a result I plan to make today a day of “small jobs” interspersed with some more taking it easy, although taking it easy is beginning to feel much overrated and rather dull… 😂 I’ll go for a walk at some stage but not right now because it’s emptying down outside. 😝
Been through the shopping bill from yesterday:
£29.38 total
£6.77 = Christmas related
£5.90 = MrEH personal spend. Our deal on toiletries etc is that a small spend gets absorbed into the regular weekly spend, but anything more whichever of us it belongs to transfers a contribution to the groceries account to cover.
General weekly spend £16.71 which is decent.Survey update:
Prolific - £9.99 paid/£1.97 pending
OnePoll - 1180 points
Power of Opinions - might be able to get it to cash out this week - would be there already if I wanted Amazon I think, not sure I do though. 🤔
Regular payment to the 0% card should go on Wednesday but my suspicion is it won’t due to the £25 I transferred over a few days back, so I’ll need to keep an eye on that. In “other stuff” our EDF SOLR transfer should complete today - I submitted a meter read AGAIN this morning which hopefully they might have registered this time - I just used saturday’s reading again as the oven’s only been on for an hour and a half or so since so that’ll be fine.Small jobs so far
- a bit of tidying,
- a quick darn of a bra where the underwire kept poking through,
- dehumidifier on in the bedroom
- quick clean round the washing machine door & seals
- washing from machine > airer
- washing to machine ready to run probably tonight🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I can now add:
- checking repeat prescription date and setting a reminder for it,
- washing up
- cleaning the TV and TV unit, which also migrated into cleaning a section of wall, but I’ve stopped that now as it’s a bit more vigorous than I wanted to be doing 😂
- emailed Shell for a return label for the broadband router.I’ve also been for a walk - the fresh air definitely helped, but I do feel a bit wiped now, and I only went a mile and a half!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
