We were late to the party too and also only started watching it during lockdown 1.
For the WM chat, we have an Indesit WM and it's fine for us. Does a decent wash in 45 minutes but I then have to change it to a 5 minute spin cycle. Got it in 2017. We have a Beko TD and we have had that for around 15/16 years. It's still going strong. In defence of Beko, we also have a Beko fridge freezer which we bought when we moved here (Feb 2008 so 14 years next Feb) and that's still going strong too, even though I put a bottle of coke in the freezer to chill, forgot about it and it exploded. Never truly got it all out.

Just checked our everlasting washing machine, and it's a Zannussi. Good to hear good things about Beko - our new fridge and oven are Beko so fingers crossed they last a long time!4

I have a Beko tumble dryer which is great and dries a load of washing in 30 minutes. My other half has one which is useless and does not dry a load of washing in 2 hours despite being almost the same model number.
I have a Beko fridge freezer whch is fine until you want to clean the fridge or put away a lot of shopping.
It is frost free so the freezer does not need defrosting but it has a one minute alarm for the fridge which makes it impossible to clean.
Instructions for cleaning the fridge say to disconnect it which makes a nonsense of the frost free freezer
I regularly swear at it when putting shopping in the fridge, what a ridiculous design.
I dare you to see how much shopping you can put in the fridge in 1 minute, or how much cleaning you can do in 1 minute4 -

We probably wouldn't have chosen Beko for a freezer but it was the only one suitable for a garage and guaranteed to work down to minus 15 degrees. It works a treat.

We had a nightmare getting it into the kitchen in the first place 😀4 -

My new fridge freeser is a Samsung@Paspatur That did make me giggle I’m afraid - there’s an image in my mind of you frantically trying to stuff a weeks shopping in the fridge with the Benny Hill music playing! 😂 You’re right though - you’d think they’d have fitted an override button that cancelled it for 10 minutes wouldn’t you!In other news, the credit card money shuffle is done aside from MrEH’s share which he still needs to transfer over. Bit painful with the Edinburgh and Norwich spends in there but MrEH has taken a bit more of a share of the balance of that - fair enough as he definitely eats and drinks more than I do! Anyway, done now and this month will be a bit less spendy with any luck! The card account is now showing clear as all transactions have moved to the statement, so we can now start seeing about keeping it lower - I’m aiming for it just being food, travel and joint spends thst need splitting between us as a rule, with stuff like holiday spending and obviously anything over £100 as and when needed. I’d gradually like to switch to clearing stuff like MrEH’s travel off as it hits, or asking him to put that straight on the joint account, but one step at a time.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

My FF is Beko. My sensor dryer which I like is as well. My WM is Logik which has been great - only drawback really irritating noise during spin cycle... In case it helps the whole debate.

The Beko FF’s seem to be fairly much universally loved - I know MIL would have kept hers if it hadn’t been that there was already an enormous one at the new house! Hers must have been over 15 years old too I reckon.Update:

NSD’s 9/18 - half way!Electric overnight: £1.12 (two NSH’s, hot water, dishwasher, WM)
I assume the hallway heater has decided that the weather forecast is such that it doesn’t need to top up as much at the moment as that power use is less than I expected allowing for the other bits that ran. It’s certainly unseasonably warm at the moment - and planned to count that way for a few more days at least I believe.Today will not be a NSD as it’s shopping day. Got the list all ready and just need to resist MrEH’s tendency to see other stuff that we “need” now! 🙄 Might swerve into Lil’s to see if they have £1.50 fruit and veg boxes. If I get one it will mean a bit of altering of meal plans to use the contents but that’s not too problematic.I might well head along to the club to watch their rugby match later - they’re on the first team pitch and I like photographing on there as there’s some banking round the back of the pitch means I can shoot straight across towards the clubhouse. Will depend on the weather though - I’m not up for risking soaking camera kit in rain for rugby stuff!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Right - decided against heading to watch the match - the light is awful for photos anyway ours I’m on day 2 of TOTM which always tends to be a bit grim so decided on a pottering afternoon here instead. So far I’ve dried up some stuff from the draining board, buffed over the silestone to remove the water marks, sorted a load of washing to the machine ready for tomorrow night, and done a bit of tidying in the front room including - fanfare time - folding down the drop leaf of the dining room table for the first time since lockdown 1, I think! I forgot how much bigger it made the room, too! Next task will be to get MrEH to sort out the “stuff” from the old car that’s sitting in front of the display cabinets annoying me…I’m sure lots of it is just for binning but it needs him to just tackle it!Shopping this morning - no £1.50 boxes in Lil’s, and in fact not even a space for them anymore which is curious. Did grab a bag of potatoes in there for 79p though. Then another £19.81 in T’s - £4.40 of which was on storecupboard or household items.
I added a couple more items of food bought while we were out and about to last months CC food spends when I did the shuffle last night - ended up with £26 left in the food account once the shuffle was done so that’s a start on getting ourselves a month ahead. We also had a chat this morning about how we want to use the CC going forwards, and are agreed that it makes sense to put food spending and anything else that is accounted for out of the savings pots on it, but things like MrEH’s Oyster top ups and diesel spends may as well gradually start switching across to the joint account. Just done some sums which suggest his next top-up can come straight off the joint account too - step one! 👏🏼 I do like it when a plan comes together! Only other spends today so far was £5 on jigsaws in the charity shop - a Christmas 1000 piece one which we will take away with us, and a 500 piece in a style we love which will get set aside to go to the Hebrides with us next year - no room for anything bigger in that holiday cottage. MrEH also paid for those which is always a win! 😂🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
