Good Afternoon :hello:
Well done apple - for persevering and contributing :T
It's been a bit of a funny morning. Let's just say that for the umpteenth time I've been 'left wondering' by old friends (pre-baby Greying) and ponder whether we oughtn't just to 'pull the plug' and all move on. Or perhaps I'm reading too much into things, and just need to press on with life, regardless - with or without them in it.
Tea last night ended up being mushroom mozarella omlette, baked potatoes and broccoli.
I haven't spent any money yet today, but we will need milk and cheese, so DH will be asked to purchase those this afternoon.
I have lost my crafting mojo a bitStill, there is no point in trying to push things, as you always do a bad job if you're not in the right frame of mind. I did get some things finished this morning though, so I have made marginally more progress than I am perhaps giving myself credit for.
Mmm, feeling a bit down in the dumps. Need to snap out of it and press on and get summat done. BG having a much needed snooze and I've not worked out what's for tea, nor done the washing up from lunch. Perhaps that is the place to start.

Good Evening :hello:
Right, so I took my own advice (????) for once, and just dove into getting a few things done after my previous post. I read something the other day - some quote or other - about not striving for perfection, not trying to do everything on the list, not trying to be everywhere - but everday to at least make 'an effort', no matter how small an achievement you make with that effort, no matter how wonky or streaked the outcome, no matter that it wasn't all of the to-do list. For today, just make an effort.
It paid off. I did the washing up, made curried coconut lentils for tea (with rice) and completed the next step of a crafting project I've started (it's not finished, but I'm about halfway with time in hand, so.......). We're still doing the right day for the Advent calendar, chocolate has been munched and BG is listening to a related story as I type - WIN! :rotfl:
Today I am grateful for these 3 things;
a self-administered kick up the b.u.m
progress - of sorts
for all that I have, because it IS enough.............
Ta for popping in. Appreciated. As always.

It's ok to cut people out of your life. Not everyone deserves to stay. And there's a difference between giving up and knowing when you've had enough.
Do these people enhance your life or diminish it?

Trouble is with me love, I over-think things. So whilst you should probs do a snap 'yes' or 'no' to that question, it always seems to be a bit more....... complicated.
Although I've cut people from my life before - just through natural progression. Thankfully there haven't been many cases of 'blazing rows' and then cessation of contact.
I have a friend at the moment, who, the 'intelligent' part of me can see that they came into my life for a reason. That reason has now passed; reached a conclusion. I get on with them really well; love and admire them greatly. But I think communciation will lessen and we shall probably part ways - amicably. Which is a great shame, as I've written before of how difficult I have found it to make friendships in adulthood. But I can recognise the nature of this friendship - and I suspect it doesn't fall into the 'lifetime' category - however much I would like it to
The person who discombobulated me today has previously mucked us about greatly and I've certainly considered pulling the plug before. Maybe nothing has changed, and I just need to do it. Perhaps my 'new' friends - all 'post' BG I think - have highlighted the difference between 'enhancing' friendships and 'draining' relationships, quite starkly. Even the 'reason' friendship has been nothing but enhancing, albeit perhaps for a short while.
Mucho to ponder on.

Good Afternoon :hello:
Well, I'm glad I waited until now to post. What a difference a couple of hours makes.
In trying to help out the parentals, I managed to make a rod for my own back, and put myself in the situation of having to do lots of running around on wild-goose chases, and generally getting to the stage of pulling my hair out. But due to the help and advice from 2 (new) chums, I have suddenly got options, and purely co-incidentally, I also found a source of what is needed - in the right price bracket - on the far edge of Greying Town. So a bit of finger wear (from excessive texting) and a bit of shoe-leather expended, and I am in a mucho better place than I was this morning, as suddenly we have 'options' where previously we were drawing a blank - and an expensive one at that.
So today I am already grateful for my new chumsand their help
I've got some more materials to finish off one of my crafting projects. BG has just gone off to the land of nod, so I may well get orf of here and go do some constructing!
h3r0n foods had some mozarella slices in (square for toasting), at 49p for 8 slices (I think). I got some to melt under/over some burgers at some point.
Right, I've no idea what is for tea. Maybe bean stew and mash? But I best get-a-shifting as I can achieve what I need to achieve whilst BG is asleep if I crack on.
Ta for popping in. Appreciated.

:j - I agree with each and every one of those ^ sentiments! :rotfl:
Would someone please give me a kick up the b.u.m and remind me not to worry about things I cannot control! It's just such a waste of energy!
Tea this evening should be pizza and wedges. Probably black olive pizza for first choice, as BG likes it. Unless they've gone off that too.......:o
Need to make a shopping list for the w/end. And pick up one or two bits (weather permitting) in Greying town. And make a start on the cards - adressing envelopes and wotnot.
Must keep active and stop werriting!
Right, DH needs to vamoose, and BG needs me, so orf I jolly well trot
