Most impressive parcel delivery! :j and most impressive vegetable consumption :D I confess I had porridge for tea again last night :o but in my defence I had been out for a rather large lunch :o And I do at least have some of our endless garden lettuce supply for lunch today :j

Hope today brings you jolly adventures :)

Hooray for decent customer service!!!:T:T:T ...and another Hooray for decent delivery service as well!!!

I'm bracing myself for our subscription delivery from @m@zon tomorrow - The (contracted) delivery drivers are downright terrible & always do something that winds OH up!

On the other hand it's the cheapest way to buy many of our household consumables - soap & shampoo & washing up liquid as well as store cupboard items and sauces!

    Good Morning :hello:

Where is the time flying to?

Popped up the high street yesterday morning. Shopped exclusively at w1lks :D And bought nowt that wasn't on the list :T Actually, yes I did - I bought some child size clothes hangers, for £1 :o Needed though...

Tea on Friday night was HM black olive pizza, potato wedges (used last of the YS'd King Edwards from m&$) and a splodge of coleslaw (used the last of the cabbage, and some YS'd carrots and some of the remaining YS'd celery).

Tea last night was black-eye bean curry - made up recipe, and dhal with boiled rice. There is curry left over and some black-eye beans (cooked up a load in the PC without soaking first ), both now in freezer :D I made a 'sort of' carrot raita to go with. I peeled and grated that last 3 carrots I had, mixed with salt and pepper, natural greek yoghurt and some chopped coriander. Surprisingly refreshing and light - although the curry wasn't hot enough to need cooling down, the different texture/taste worked well :D:T And I got more veggies in........ :rotfl:

No idea what today will bring. I am currently the only one up and about at Greying Towers. Enjoying the peace and quiet, stillness and  cool air temp :D:cool:;) All will change, just now, am sure........

Right, have nowt else MSE-related that warrants report, so best shuffle orf.

    Ta for popping in. Appreciated.

Morning Greying. I like the sound of that carrot raita. Might try that one myself. I am quite pathetic when it comes to curry and can only eat very mild ones, so this would be good. It would probably make a good dip too

    Good Morning :hello:

Yes, all good with us, thank you rtandon :D Just reverting to a new schedule here at the towers, so it's taking a bit of adjustment on all sides :D But thus far working out :D

Teas have been very much 'make do & mend', and heavily reliant on gifted courgettes :D Although tea last night was l/o black olive pizza, black-eye bean salad, beetroot & apple salad and some red little gem lettuce leaves. Filled a gap, and felt a bit healthy ;) The little gem lettuce was 49p for 3 lettuces in HB. Quite a good price, I thought.

Tea on thursday night was a version of the stracci recipe that is in Jaymee Ol1ver$ nayked ch3f book. I didn't have any aubergine, so the courgette was the star of the dish. I also didn't have any parmesan, so used a scraping of cream cheese that I had left, to mix through the tomato sauce. The pasta was the reduced price orrichette that I got a couple of months ago.

Tea on Wednesday was the l/o courgette and goats cheese bake, with assorted salads. Tuesday was pasta with goats cheese, red peppers and black olives etc. Monday, was the first bit of courgette and goat's cheese bake - with assorted salads.

We've had a fantastic time with friends this week. For nothing more than the expenditure of 'time'. I'm pretty sure we built some wonderful memories for BG too :D

Right, best get a wiggle on, I guess :D

    Good Morning :hello:

WannabeFree - it was a bit quiet, but a nice weekend, none the less.

So a busy week ahead. Some practical, pedestrian stuff and some adventurising with a chum :D

The budget has been spent, so other than bread/milk essentials (actually think we're OK for milk - sure there is a new carton in the fridge) we're on purse 'lock-down' until the new month.

Apparently MSE Badger informs me I've been wittering on, on the forum for 8 years. 8 Years! Gee, I waffle on........

Tea on Saturday night was curry. I made courgette dalcha with the last of the gifted courgettes. It works well with either yellow or green courgettes, and there is some left over for another day :j I used the l/o made-up black-eye bean curry from last week, shoving a bit of coconut milk and chopped coriander into it, to 'ring the changes' ;):rotfl:

Tea last night was cardboard box fish & oven chips. I think we had different filets from different shops. I think mine was mrL, DH's was mrA and BG had fish fingers! I think I prefer mrL fish filets (breadcrumbed) over the same offering from mrA. Seem to actually have a bit more fish flesh in them......... I bulked out with plate with salads; cucumber salad for freshness, as I have no lemons, the 'ubiquitous' (now) beetroot and apple salad, a spoonful of left over salade nebbe (black bean salad) and some lettuce leaves. Filled and gap and was nice to munch. :D

Tea for the next 2 days will be whatever the hickey I can scrape together in time :D

Can't think of owt else, eye-wateringly :money:to wiffle on about, so best vamoose, I guess.
