  • Good Morning :hello:

    Well, brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr quite frankly!

Still, I am sat in the warmth. All the work, upgrading the boiler, replacing the windows for DG is beginning to pay us back, and we are comfortable. For that I am grateful.

I am hopeful that if we wrap up warmly, very warmly, we will be able to get out and about today for some exercise and a nose at what's occuring :D I do need to get a stamp to send a card, but that is accounted for.

I can't remember what is actually on the planner for tea this evening, but we have plenty of food, and I have the ingredients to make a nice bean and veggie stew, which, given the cold weather, may well be a good use of resources.

Right, BG is fiddle faddling on my knee, and I'm risking losing this post if I carry on much longer. So I shall bid you farewell for the timebeing.

    Stay warm and Safe.

Took an extra hour to get in to work this morning!

Turned a 2 hour commute into a 3 hour commute! - dreading the trip home...

How can 3 inches of snow paralyze the entire country?????:eek::eek:

When the commute is almost as long as the work day, methinks winning the lottery is looking better & better!!!!!

    Good Morning :hello:

Hope you are safe and warm, and well. Happy St David's Day to all those that celebrate :D

We've had our plans curtailed today, as the event we were going to attend has thankfully been cancelled. I'm pleased, as I don't believe in travelling in bad weather unless it is necessary. And we would have had to drive to the next town along. Better we stay off the roads to enable people that need to be moving about, to do so.

I'd like to get out today for a walk, as we've a sprinkling of snow and BG hasn't had much experience of the white stuff. However, I suspect that the schools will be closed, and so any of the rec areas will be quite busy with sledgers and snowballers. Sledging is OK, snowballs not so.......

We certainly won't be going near any shops, and won't be spending any money, so that's a good nsd start to March :D

Tea last night was veg & bean stew with dumplings. I loused up the dumplings. Twice. How on earth can you louse up dumplings? Twice? :(

Tea this evening will be a 'bowl' of something. I've plenty of 'bits' to use, just not so sure in what order as yet.

Right, I'm away to look after BG whilst DH gets ready. Ta for popping by. Appreciated.
