 to Pippi - both those really. Only occasionally eat it - in general no more than once a week. Was pondering me Omega intake and wanted to perhaps have a wider range of foods to expose BG too, as I'm not set on bringing them up veggie per se. However, they munch on fish fingers quite happily, and are in bed by the time we get to eat our 'fish supper' on a Sunday, so I'm not susre I'm achieving overly much. Could probably do better to just up my sunflower & other seeds intake.......

Well, today is going well
We have popped up the high street and bought the relevant bits and pieces, needed. Although I was surprised to find that it's difficult to get bio washing powder these days - and virtually impossible to get it in small quantities. We can't use it on clothes, it brings us out in a rash, but I need some for something else. Bio washing powder was all the rage - when did it change back to non-bio being the thing? I couldn't even find any b1o-t3x. Mind, I did only have w1lks and HB to look in.
Inspired by brizzle and chums on her thread, I have popped a letter in the post to my CC provider, querying how CCP was put on my account. We'll see how we go. I've had my paperwork for forever, and I almost threw it away when I was pregnant, as I figured i wouldn't get anywhere. Thank goodness I didn't, as I spotted the flaw in the paperwork that makes me think that it was mis-sold.
I had an egg mayo sanger for lunch - does life get any better?
I'd better go and do something - although I fancy taking a lead out of BG's book and settling down for 40 winks..... My sleep patterns at the moment seem to be wide-awake all night, or out of it like a hibernating grizzly! Stuff going on I 'spose.

Ooh, well done you. I keep wondering whether to do the same thing to check whether there was PPI on Mr Cheery's mortgage. Partly I just cannot be bothered, but then if there was... But they may have taken it out knowingly - he can't remember a thing about it!
I suppose there's no harm in printing off the letter...0 -

I had a sausage mayo sanger today. May take a leaf out of your book and have egg mayo tomorrow, as we are out-and-abouting and travelling tomorrow. Soo yummy!
I have never had deep fried chips made at home, and chippy chips tend to be contaminated by the batter-coated-fish, so a no-go here. But I do love egg and hm chips!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

starnac lovely, I'm not sure that is helping my hives........ :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
apple - I love egg mayo sangers for picnics. I don't know why, but they are quite, quite my favourite sort. Always had cheese or ham (well, boiling bacon) when we were kids. So no rose-tinty spectacled nostalgia.... but perhaps one good thing about being a 'grown up' is you can start to make your own 'favourite things'
Tea this evening was as slated. Creamy courgette pasta. I used spirali pasta, not fettucine, as I can't get on with fettucine, so I used what I hadDH got some parmesan from mrL, as I nearly fell over when I saw how much m&$ wanted for their parmesan. I did push the boat out though and bought some cream for the dish (normally use yoghurt) as i just fancied a bit of decadence for once. I used half the courgettes at my disposal and had a mix of green and yellow. I'm sorry there isn't a picture, because within 2 seconds of it being plated up, it was eaten
DH was in a hurry to get on with a task whilst there was still sufficient daylight left.
Today I am grateful for these 3 things;
virtual cheerleaders giving me the impetus to get on and do something to see where it gets me
a laugh with a members of staff in several different shops and for their easy inclusion of BG - Nice
for BG's hugs and kisses, so freely given - priceless
Ta for popping in and discussing chips and other foodstuffsAppreciated

Ooh that recipe sounds tasty - maybe it'd be a good way to use up the rest of my giant courgette :j
Had soup for tea tonight - four parsnips which had been there since we put the house on the market several weeks ago and which looked liked shrivelled sticksrevived (kind of) with Pippi's trick of soaking in water. Peeled (because the outside really was like ancient leather - I don't usually bother), and then boiled up for a bit with literally just lentils, water and some 'all purpose seasoning' (got to love that stuff
). Just boiled a few mins then switched off and left it til teatime - by which point it was cooked but entirely solid :rotfl:
Whizzed up with a bit more water and heated in the microwave and it made a perfectly acceptable tea, with plenty left for both tomorrow and the day after :j :j0 -
Good Morning :hello:
Cheery - wot you doing here at midnight???? That is a good tip you've picked up from Pipster though - sure I'll be needing that at some point in the futureSounds like the perfect frugal tea
Nowt too exciting on the horizon today. We're pretty good for stores, so I may well snag another nsd.
Tea can be soup, as I have all the ingredients in for it. Otherwise, it'll be summat involving courgette
Um, cannae think of owt else :money: so best vamoose.
Ta for popping in. Greatly appreciated. Greatly.

See what a lazy what-not I am Sayschezza - i don't even bother boiling wedges when I make 'emIt does mean that HG or well grown tatties make the best wedges, so it becomes hit & miss when using 'supermercado' tatties, but when you get a good tatty........... MMMMMM
Well, I did spend money today - irony of ironies, I needed a new 'purchases' book, as I have filled mine up after 7 and a half months....And which is the best day to buy one? Why a notional nsd of course!I did also buy some crackers, a tin of tomatoes and some chocolate for BG and a chocolate bar for me. Somebody was mentioning something yesterday (not on MSE) and I figured that whilst I don't want to get that BG is having snax or sweeties all the time, I probably am a bit lax in allowing them something occasionally. So we plumped for a packet of 'fr3dd0s' (Cheery will heartily approve
) from HB - on the basis that they are 5 for £1 - purchasing individually, I think I paid 30p for one last week. Naturally, BG enjoyed one of the bars, not all 5
So there can be plenty of future fun too
