There is currently 4 minutes of the delivery window left.

    I am seething.

I have waited in all day and been able to do very little, because of needing to keep BG safe and certain doors closed.

I think it may be free returns, but at this rate, a no-show delivery means I'm minded to cancel the order. If I know that firms use this courier, I will not order anything to be delivered by them in future. How hard can it be to deliver 15 miles away?

    1 minute left.

Oh dear Greying! :( what an outrage. I hope that if you do cancel the order the process is easy. A good opportunity to order from the cheaper place perhaps!

I do find it quite annoying when places use couriers rather than the post, especially if there's no tracking. Rearranging delivery is rather difficult sometimes!

Hope you haven't missed too much lovely weather xx

GRRRRR indeed GP - I hope you refused delivery at the door for breach of contract! If I'm not mistaken, you have the right for online orders to refuse if it is not delivered according to the terms?
Maybe I made that up but my gut says you should! :rotfl:

Customer services? a joke. 20 minute wait on the phone? unacceptable - you are still 'open' for business, and you make customers wait 20 minutes+ (I put the phone down at that point).

I will NEVER buy anything online from W1ckes again.

I will NEVER knowingly use dX fr3ight again. They are just not in the 'delivery' game at all. And as for paying to phone them, to find out what they've done with your goods? Jog on.

Because we got moithered trying to get hold of 'someone' in customer services, we forgot what is important. I took my eye off the ball and very nearly caused a fire - ENTIRELY due to my stupidity, no-one else's, but my mind was on 'things other'. I learnt a valuble lesson today. Nothing is more important than my family, and big business is not in business to put the customer first. I will do what I can to cancel my order on principle now.

    Today I am very grateful for these 3 things;

    Impromptu visitors who brought cake

pre-loved gifts freely given to BG :j

that the smoke has dissapated, even if the smell is still lingering.......
    :o *ahem* :o

I was sooo minded to write that I'm not grateful for anything today, as I am so miffed. But that is not true, and just shows that whatever happens in your day, there is usually something to be grateful for.

    Yet more learning.

Oh Greying :( Pah to useless 'customer services'. I'm disappointed as I use W1ickes a lots and don't want them to be horrid :o but I've never had cause to use their delivery service as they're very close to us and I'm not generally trying to wield a small child at the same time as whatever DIY paraphenalia I'm trying to stuff in the car...

I hope your weather is as glorious as mine is today and that you get out and about for a bit :) Glad you found something to be grateful for. On days like that a friend of mine recommends starting with 'I'm breathing' and 'I have food to eat' and working upwards from there. Not easy some days though! Xx
  • Morning Greying, sending a HUGE hug for what seems like a horrible day yesterday.

If you use FB I suggest you contact Wickes and complain. If you don't have it I'm happy to complain on your behalf if you PM me details.

To receive service like that is totally unacceptable.

The sun is out and it's a new day. Get your sangers made girl xxxxx

Ha ha - Dearest Tilly, yet again, possibly for the second time this week I have regretted not being 'on' social mejaa!!! Firms now seem to react much more quickly to folks telling the truth on FB or Tw1T..... Certainly e-mail only gets an auto response and a phone call sees you on hold.

I have got to dash up the high street. Being marooned in the house yesterday means I couldn't get something I've run out of.

But I have already had a good larf at you imploring me to make sangers and get out there! You are so right. Unfortunately, DH is working, so we couldn't enjoy them fully - BUT, the setiment is the right one, and today will be onwards and upwards. Yesterday was a blip - not forgotten, but it's not going to spoil today, nor tomorrow, nor Monday.......

    Gotta go.

    Be back later.

THANK YOU, everyone for your support. Know that you are appreciated.
