Boiler Grant? Can I shop around?

1. Can I apply to more than one energy supplier, running Boiler Grant, at the same time?
2. If I have already applied and have a quote, where I have been asked to pay £###, for specific boiler. Can I :
   - call another energy supplier and ask for a boiler grant, so maybe I can get better price
   - or different boiler

I believe that applications are made to energy suppliers to make it easier for folks to apply, but then it is subcontracted anyway. SO is there any way to find and safely quote - directly, companies dealing with boiler [insulation] grants?

What is the official website to search for boiler deals?
Is boilergrants.co.uk ?


Thank you for any help, I'm between jobs and have a narrow window to replace my leaking boiler

PS. boilergrants.co.uk advisor on the phone say, my boiler is not covered by government grant as my boiler is too effective [over 86%]. Although subcontractor to energy company is saying I can get boiler installed for couple of hundreds £ - reduced from the full installation cost of about £2k.
I'm not on energy contract with this energy company

What's going on???

When I asked what boiler exactly it is or energy output, I was said it is not clear yet, as it is being assessed...

You may get more response in themain energy forum where mains gas and electricity are discussed, boiler grants have a few threads if you do a search, this forum is specifically for off grid LPG, Heating Oil, solid fuel etc.
