Anybody know if there are any similiar schemes run in Portsmouth and Hampshire area? Even if it is ones you pay for as I am not on benefits/student etc....
Portsmouth City Council operate a 'leisure card' scheme, allowing residents the oportunity to acess local facilities at a reduced rate, but it's only for people on certain benefits........

there is now also the nottingham city card this is free to everyone
this combines all of the above with your travel pass and your library card
if you can get the mobility card for disabled people or the senior card you get lots of great discounts at city stores

Cost: FREE!
Available to: All residents age 14+
Proof required? ID and proof of residency - there is an application form to fill in and you have to get your photo taken.
Discounts given: Loads including free entry to museums and discounts on other attractions including the Thermae Bath Spa. Full list here.
