Nothing I've noticed. It might be worth running a few quick scans for malware with MalwareBytes and adwCleaner, and your antivirus.

Otherwise, try clearing your browser's cache.

If you open Task Manager, you might be able to see if any program is using a lot of CPU cycles or RAM.

    Give the disks a check.

I have a feeling that was what was causing my problems, file system was OK but lower level checks were failing.

When this is happening (if you can) , open task manager , click on the processes tab and look what is using CPU cycles .

Let us know and we will be able to help further

CPU showing very little ccc.exe is fluctuating. CPU Usage is showing variable between 8% and 28%

I would go one further and launch task manager and show all process as the first thing you do.

Also I think having the command line in the list of fields is useful as many system process are the same just different command lines and a google of the command line gets more focused results of problems

eg I have an issue with Vista I cannot get rid of, due to windows update and a runaway svchost.exe.

    Remove AGV immediately.
I HATE this software, i have never seen it running on a machine without causing problems eventually.

If you must use a branded AV then use bitdefender free.

Use the AVG remover from here : http://www.avg.com/gb-en/utilities

Then i would also run malwarebytes : https://www.malwarebytes.com/mwb-download/thankyou/
(decline the option for a free trial of PRO)

And then ADW cleaner to tidy up : https://toolslib.net/downloads/viewdownload/1-adwcleaner/

Your system should behave again then.
