Hi Bagpuss, Katy_ann and big hellos to everyone else who follows

Just chilling out really - tidying round and taking poochface out in a bit.

Really need to call car finance company to see where I stand...

I'm also going to start a new 'bullet journal' - that will keep me busy because I am a geek.Helps clear my mind too...

Hi Guys!
It sounds like a lot of people are feeling a bit under the weather. I'm feeling a bit like that too...Hope we all feel better soon - must be the change of weather.
Nothing much to report. I'm waiting for payday which is on Friday.
Bank balances checked, YNAB updated.
I'm working at home today, which means I don't need to go out very far.
Yesterday I did very well, as I refused to go for the group curry at lunch, sticking to my home made soup. A tenner saved!October 2015 = -13242.16 DFD 28/10/2016 £0 :T0 -

Hi All
I had an good one just now. I went to the dentist last week. My DD is 1 year and 2 weeks old. So is therefore 12 months old no?
On the form they ask you to fill in it asks ' have you had a baby in the past 12 months?' I answered yes and put her DOB down.
At the appointment the dentist informed me I needed some further work done to a filling. He told me as I'm on a mat excemption it's going to be free.
Call up today to diarise the appointment and the receptionist states that as my baby is now 1, I am no longer covered.
But then surely the form should say ' have you had a baby in the last 11 months and 30 days?' or something else pedantic.
My other point is that I filled the form in and handed it to them on the day. I haven't lied about anything. The DOB was on the form. So.....
Whatcha think?
Anyway she is going to call back. Thankfully OH has dental with his job so I think spouses are covered.

Afternoon all
Sorry to hear that some of our number are poorlyHope you feel better soon
So far today:
Packed ebay items
Walked to post office with today's parcels, for free exercise and to save fuel
Made lettuce and pea soup to use up wilting lettuce
Froze rest of jar of Thai curry paste in ice cube tray, there is enough for 2 more curries in there, but the best before info tells me I need to throw it away after today - I think not!
Load of washing in - will dry on airer as it is rainy here today
Cleaned conservatory thingy on back of house (though 'conservatory' sounds a bit too posh for what it is!)
Cleaned up after pup disembowelled his teddy bear all over the lounge. Little plastic bead things everywhere  Cut out the part that was leaking plastic beads and gave him back the remains of poor teddy, as he was looking a bit crestfallen when I took it off him :rotfl:
Still to do:
Dinner will be more items from the fridge that need using up! Jacket potatoes with grated cheese and coleslaw that needed using up, remains of meat pie made the other day and salad bits that also needed using
List a few more things on ebay Done, no sales yet today though!
Do some more cleaning! Did a fair bit of tidying which has made the place look better, really needs hoovering though
Tax OH's truck online, must do this! Done
Now to get that washing onto the airer!

So I've achieved practically nothing off of this list! Turns out my SIL came over with the kids and we made cakes and played and chatted for most of the day!
I've only just sat down with a drink and am watching some more of my box set and I feel super tired! I've also got some super bad pelvic pain when I walk so will be chilling for the rest of the day and probably having an early night!
I have made it a NSD though so not all bad!Debt free once - Back again | Current debt: £2479.50 - January 2025 | Make £2025 in 2025 #11 - £41/£20250 -
Hi all,
Feeling a bit glum today. Had a meeting with the nursing team and they think it's best for me to take a year off the course to deal with all of my personal issues, then come back to my nursing course as a second year in a newer cohort. Not sure how I feel about joining a new cohort of nurses who will be even younger than me and will all know each other. Determined for this not to happen, but unfortunately I think it will have to. On the plus side it means I get a year to attempt to pass my driving test.
Today's money saving plans,
*Took lunch with me (but missed it due to the meeting so currently eating this on the bus)
* not cooking tonight as OH is out
*go to nanna's to use her printer as mines broken (she gets her ink from work so doesn't mind me using it whenever I want)
*nannas also going to feed me I think
*my heating systems working (storage heaters)! They're running on economy 7 and as we're both out majority of the day it works quite well for us. Need to shop around as had a credit meter fitted last night
Can't think of anything else, though there's probably loads I've got to do.
Take care xx0 -
