everything to do with video, youtubes, films and catch up like bbc player and itv player.

When I spoke with ee he got me to sign in to change the number on router so it shouldn't pick up other electronics but we live in a flat and unsure what the people upstairs are using.

I have no electronics switched on while doing this baring the phone/broardband and the tv or laptop I am using at the time(not both together), even turned lights off lol.

Its worse than dial up and after using the lan wire cable its just the same.

When he did speed test it varied from 2-7, he said I should be getting anything upto 12 but you want get 12 as they only say what you may get upto. he said what I was getting was very good but doesn't help.

every two seconds of playing something it pauses or buffered, tried pausing a few mins and every 5 mins to play and just the same.

When you signed up they should have given you a minimum speed.

If it's less than that, they should fix it for free. So keep on at them

Just looked at renew email from June

Please find enclosed information about your new plan. We're on the case to get you up and running as soon as possible.

We estimate that your line can support download speeds of between 1.5 Mb/sec and 3.5 Mb/sec.
Your Minimum Guaranteed Download Speed will be 1.0 Mb/sec.

Broadband speeds can vary, and are influenced by a number of factors including distance from the street cabinet, the quality of your internal phone wiring, the number of users online and our traffic management policy- see ee.co.uk/homekfi for more information

This looks like there totally covered, also got till June to wait till :(

Well I called again last night, he said the amount which was 1.26 at the time was within my amount so nothing could really be done(still doesn't explain the pausing/buffering), he said there was 1 other person on setting 11 and a few more in the flats above were on different numbers, he has moved me to number 1 and thee was 1 other person on it to see if that improves.

He did say it looks like there maybe a place for fibre optic. It that department was shut as it was 20:45, he is going to call me today to see about fibre optic and if that's the case maybe try for a deal for me.
