Can I get bt broadband without phone line apart from using my EE line instead?

Hi guys been in touch with EE as there internes is dreadful, they did a test and said nothing was wrong, even told me to not have other electronics on while using the intermet( we live in a flat so other people may use electronics) I can't watch films/YouTube videos or catch up to) I tried watching a catch up programme the other day and every 2 seconds it froze/paused or buffered, even paused to try and let it catch up and the same.

I was told by EE to maybe used a wire, this is 2016 and I used wires oin 1999 when I had dial up.

When I had. T I could have loads of videos up while having internet in my mobile and loads of electronics up and it would be super fast.

EE said that if any get the fast one because the area is full at the moment

I currently only pay £20 for both unlimited calls/landline and the internet, I useful to pay £19 for by landline then internet on top.

Could I keep EE landline and the useless broadband but not used the broardpand as only £20 then get something faster like by or someone for broardband so use EE land line?

Try a wire, it will narrow down the problem.

Yea tried wire and seems the same,
If I called EE and payed the internet remaining contract bill off and kept the landline with EE could I then get someone better like bt but still use EE landline?

    No.

I did have the opposite for a while though.

Don't forget if it's a problem with the line, moving won't fix it.

    Try a speed test.

EE landline is the BT OR landline .

Your router should tell you significant stats .
Also the BT Wholesale test at
    http://speedtest.btwholesale.com/

Run the test then further diagnostics should tell you the input .
Download speed and IP Profile .

What products/sources are giving you buffering .

If ethernet cables are difficult then one thing to do possibly is to have power plugs. They tend to be better than wireless and not as swift as ethernet.

We have ee landline and ee broardband, used to work perfectly fine for the last 14 months then suddenly it's so slow, pauses and buffered on films and catch-up to. We used to have by for both landline and. Roardband which was even better. It was costing a lot so went to EE as much cheroot.

Could I try and pay my remaining contract of the internet with EE off and just keep there landline and then go to someone like by?

We are going to pic up a Lan cable to see if it will improve but thinks us will that in 2016 I need a wire to get on the internet.

You need to test before buying anything .

ISP service to your master socket down a wire . Lets say its is 10 mb .
Your connection from master socket to your router down a wire if its a poor connection could drop to 7 mb at the router . Wifi out of the router set on the wrong channels and picking up neighbouring interference 3 mb .

So easy to lose a lot of your settup is incorrect . The figures in your router will give you some guide to what's incoming .

In answer to your question if you are paying EE for your line rental then no you are stuck with them for broadband, you would have to transfer your landline to BT then you can use any ISP that uses the BT network.

The ee talked us through doing a speed check and we tried it a couple of times, sometimes it was 5 then was 3, once it was 7.

We got a lan cable yesterday and plugged into the tv, the to automatacily switched wifi off and picked up the wired lan, it was just the same pausing and. Underwing, even left a. It and restarted the to and just the same.
