EE no cancellations in store

Hi I'm new to the forum and need some help and advice.
My contract for my tablet recently finished and i decided to renew with EE after the offered me a deal in store. Since then though, i have found even better offers with another network. I phoned their customer services and they said i need to return to that store to cancel.
When i did return to that store to cancel, they said they have a no cancellation policy for any contracts bought in store. I took out the new contract on 29th September, so it's been less that 14 days and i can't believe that i don't have a cooling off period.
I really wanna get out of the contract, as i've found better value deals elsewhere.
Does anyone know what or how i should go about getting this cancelled ASAP?

You cant. Online is distance selling regulations (or whatever it is now) that has the cooling off period. In store its assumed you actually read and signed the contract.

I haven't actually taken or bought a device from them. It's just a sim only for my tablet. Does that effect the contract, as i haven't actually bought a device from them?0

No. Doesnt make any difference. There is no cooling off period for contracts (either new or upgraded) if done in store. There never has been with any provider.0

Some networks will aloow the 14 days especially if you buy from somewhere like Carphone Warehouse.
However contract rules dictate that if you sign a contract on the premises holding the Credit Consumer Licence, then no cooling off period is given. This is the same for most things including car contracts, etc.0 -
Actually, contract "rules" are whatever is in the contract; consumer law is what you are referring to, which can over-ride the contract in specific areas (such as distance selling).0

From what you explained, you renewed? Therefore it is said you were aware of the terms and you're stuck with them as it is buyer's remorse - even if extended as an online purchase, you wouldn't be able to cancel without penalty either. Sorry.0
