  • Also don't buy any electrical products from Mobile-blue.com. I have just bought a pair of GHD straighteners which are clearly fake. They have come from China and arrived in a squashed ripped box with the carry bag missing! Don't even think about buying from them. They offer a refund if returned in a sealed box unopened!!!! but ask that you pay the postage! Wish I had checked them out first. Foolish mistake. Real GHDs do not cost £60 ladies, pay for quality, go to a reputable retailer.

Hi there - just come across this thread sorry for hijacking.

I bought some ghd's nearly 2 years ago, the seller is still on there (possibly a good sign) now since looking thru the guide on fake ghd's i have noticed mine has the shower symbol by the hologram on the iron (in black, not red) . They had the genuine tag on the wire as far as i can make out - i cut it of as it had gone all tatty, trust me lol!
I'm just wondering if mine are still real or not? They straighten hair as good as GHD's
  • Hi, if you have a geniune pair of ghd straighteners you can (and should) register them online at http://www.ghdhair.com/flash/index.php?c=uk&p=CN-PR. If you do this straight away and they are fake you can then try to get a refund. GHD may also be very interested in this and may even help you. We also get the extended gaurentee when you register.

As for Paypal it is not as safe as many people think. As a seller they removed funds when a customer said they had not received the goods. I had sent using recorderd delivery and the did arrive. Paypal informed me of the claim for a refund and asked for proof or delivery. Within a couple of hours the funds had been removed from my account and it tooks month of complaining to get it back. Its not much safer for buyers, that said I still use it, just beware. It an offers sounds to good to be true it usually is!

Take a look at http://www.paypalsucks.com/ to see some of the more unfortunate Paypal users.

As for tesco being the cheapest for GHD (when they have stock) try http://www.4yourhair.co.uk/ They have the full range including the mini. There seems to be some new GHDs coming out soon (no date given), the GHD Dark (gloss black) and GHD Pure (gloss white). There are no pictures or prices but I like the sound of the white one.

    Best of luck, Tracey

Well, guys, I have no interest in hair straighteners as my hair is super-straight anyway, and also I can't imagine why anyone would pay £100 for something to straighten their hair. But, as I just happened to read this thread as my friend has broken her GHD thingies today, I thought I would mention that Amazon seem to have a few hair-straighteners half-price (some from re-sellers).

eg Andrew Collinge 13941 Perfect result Straightener £20

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Andrew-Collinge-13941-Perfect-Straightener/dp/B0014INLQW/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=drugstore&qid=1209155117&sr=8-4

I know they are not GHD's, but thought it might help someone. I haven't posted on Grabbit because I don't know if it's a bargain or not. Feel free to post it if it is.

Hi, just found a picture of the new gloss black GHD Dark and white GHD Pure (http://www.4yourhair.co.uk). I love the white one, only available to pre-order at the monent at £134.99. I think I will have to have a pair of the white ones, not sure if I should take a chance and wait to see it I can get a better price. The pink GHD sold out very quickly and I don't want to miss out but as the GHD MK4 is only £91.55 is seems a lot just to get a different colour. Not sure what to do, my head says wait, my heart says buy now????

Does anyone have any voucher codes for new GHDs???

    Thanks, Tracey.

ps - Tesco only list the GHD MK4 and at £99.00, "Sorry, this is temporarily out of stock" again!
