As an existing Tesco Current Account customer, we wanted to remind you about some of the great everyday benefits of your account:
    • Clubcard points on almost everything you buy with your debit card • No monthly account fee • 24/7 banking online, on the phone and via our mobile banking app • 3.00% AER/2.96% Gross variable credit interest on balances up to £3,000, and your interest paid monthly What’s more, when you request to switch your old current account to Tesco Bank between 1st October and 30th November 2016, using the Current Account Switch Service, we’ll give you 2,500 bonus Clubcard points.

Switching made simple Since you already have a Tesco Current Account, you just need to log in to online banking, select the option to switch using the Current Account Switch Service and supply the details of your old bank account. You can choose a switch date to suit you and we’ll do all the talking with your current bank and make sure your old account is closed and your salary, payments, Direct Debits and standing orders are transferred. Please note that partial switches made using the Payment Transfer Service will not qualify for the 2,500 Clubcard points. See additional T&Cs below.

Additional terms and conditions of 2,500 points offer This offer is only available to you, and is not transferrable. Only one offer is available per account, regardless of the number of old accounts you switch into your Tesco Bank Current Account. If you have already received an offer for requesting a switch in 2016, you will not be eligible for this further offer. You will receive the points as long as the account switch is requested by the offer end date and is then completed. The points will be added to the Primary account holder’s Clubcard account within six weeks of the completed switch, but may not show up on your next statement. Not to be used in conjunction with any other offer. Switching means that your old account will be closed and all payments transferred to your new Tesco Bank Current Account. A full switch can be requested through online banking or by phone.

I don't use my Tesco card as, now they take contactless payments, I earn much more by using the TSB card for 5% off the first £100 per month (actually £200 for shopping using my sole and our joint account and £100 on petrol for my husband with his card).

If you already have a Tesco current account, you can still switch any "unwanted" current account to them and get the 2,500 points.

    I'm feeling a bit neglected:o

To those of you who have received the switching offer:

do you have 1 or 2 sole accounts?
approx how long have you had them?
do you use them (apart from as a savings account;))?
    are you registered for marketing?

Just trying to work out what I can do which might prompt the invitation.

There's maybe another question...have you ever taken advantage of a points promotion in the past? I have, years ago when they were offering a small fortune (forget exactly how much, but much better than this offer...and doubled with a goodwill gesture when they failed to pay it!) for opening an Internet Saver.

That, coupled with 2 full current accounts, 3 savings accounts with lots of activity(!), and a couple of credit cards is what's presumably stopping me getting an invite this time.

I have 2 Tesco current accounts and some Internet Saver accounts but not received an invitation for this offer.

I just phoned Tesco Bank and asked am I eligible and after checking told no its by invitation only from the marketing department.

I was not registered for marketing by any means so now opted in for email marketing from Tesco Bank to hopefully increase my chances of receiving a similar offer in the future.

Thanks YB. I've never taken advantage of a promotion before because I've never been offered one. I too have 2 full current accounts & 3 savers, but no credit cards.

I think Yorkshire Pud might have the answer:o

The email came today, switch and get 2500 points. To answer your question.

    2 solo accounts.
Opened on day one (can't remember without looing).
Never used them per say, but do still feed them in accordance with the now defunct T&Cs.
    Not registered for marketing.
Do hold a club card with some points on it but not many

A quick calculation puts 2500 points at £25 hardly worth it.

Thanks, so being registered for marketing is not the answer.

Equivalent of £25 would be enough of an incentive for me to switch one of my several now defunct accounts. I don't envisage there being many more 'decent' switching incentives on offer any time soon.

I would also take the offer if there were any dormant accounts left, but given the fact I switched them all to BoS I'm right out
The email says "between 1st October and 30th November 2016, using the Current Account Switch "So 40 days from now, definitely doable but CBA
