Quidco and prudential car insurance? more of a quidco question!

Hi I know there are hundreds of posts on quidco through the seatch but just a quick question

Just back from 2 week holiday, so cleared cookies, logged into quidco and went through the prudential £130 cashback offer.

Got the quote, nice price £259 before cashback, paid for it on card.

Now when does this transaction register or show on quidco? nothing is showing currently in my transactions, payments or queries.

Paul - quidco virgin & v jetlagged and tired hope ive not dropped a clanger lol :p

  • My wife insured our car through Prudential via Quidco and it Tracked at £130 within about 12 hours.

One point though, there appears to be a problem with automatically getting the free breakdown cover and we had to phone. They tried to wriggle out as they said we had not filled in the application correctly but relented under pressure. We never mentioned Quidco in case they decided one bonus was enough. Two of my colleagues already have the cash so it is reliable.

    Dark in here, is't it...
  • pault123..i don't think its the jetlag...so just keep on praying!! hee!! hee!!

  • Mine took about 2 days to track (took policy out about 10 days ago) and the free breakdown cover was also included. Just waiting for the actual payment now...
  • I've heard that these offers are mostly a waste of time as they are the only ones to profit. You should follow Martin's tips and do it yourself.

to get the breakdown and when using quidco as your already getting £130 back its not actually part of the offer!

Top marks for people pulling it off lol
  • I got the free breakdown insurance from Prudential going through Quidco, I was not bothered as we are already with Autoaid but it arrived within a few days free of charge.

Just done through my insurance through the Pru/Quidco, i choose the breakdown cover which added £0 extra to the policy but i have just got the email from the pru and it says i have no breakdown cover ?

It clearly says about the cover when you click the Quidco page as it takes you here http://www.prucarinsurance.co.uk/

I guess im better ringing up after Quidco has tracked ?

Mine was the same. Didn't even notice it included free breakdown cover until it arrived in the post. For info we were already with First Call GB and although you can't cancel the policy for a refund, they will let you transfer the policy to a family member free of charge :D.
