Join the Institute of Advanced Motorists (or RoSPA) - you'll be amazed at how much is happening around you on the road when you are trained to spot it. You'll never be bored on a long commute again.

Couple of cans of Pepsi, enough cigs, bag of sweeties, couple of sandwiches and some crisps.

I just leave the radio on local BBC and it switches to the local county station as I move across the journey.

Driving's boring. You sit there, holding the wheel, staring out the front .... mile after mile after mile ... after mile .... after mile, mile, mile, mile ....

Funnily enough, I can't think of a time I was ever bored while driving. Even in stationary traffic on a motorway, there is always something to do, look at, listen to, think about. Last time I was stuck in a hold up, it was the state of my bladder :) A close-run thing in the end, and not pleasant, but I was certainly not bored.
If someone is nice to you but rude to the waiter, they are not a nice person.
