been with sky for years...... tv. and broadband. When my contract run out this year.......I took advantage of BT fibre 2 ( three of us using wifi...and one using desktop) and sports for hubby

have spent weeks trying to get our problems sorted out with Bt. Chat is god awful.....spent one hour waiting for an advisor (and the minutes to contact them.....went from 15 minutes......down to online)........this went on for another hour. So I went with direct phone call......in a queue..... eventually got through.......or so I thought.........phone went dead.!

DO NOT GO WITH BT! I have already posted on the community forums and told them I would post here.
my post to them

    Try Plusnet instead of BT.

I moved to Vodafone but even though they said my speeds should improve because they put 2 pipes in instead of one it actually went down.

And they gave me a new number by mistake which is now sorted but a worry i could have done without.

Exactly the point. It's when things go wrong that you discover that BT are a complete and utter shambles. I would not go back if they paid me.

I agree with the posters above....... but I have sky atm for tv.... if my extenders do not work....or an issue with my fibre 2 which I have entered into a contract with..... I believe I am going to be left high and dry.... when my sky contract runs out on the 8th. No Bt Tv.........I cannot connect to the hub... I have tried without extenders...... and still no joy, with the ethernet cable..........still nothing.

thank you to all of the members who have posted.

Sorry, I was not clear enough.......... I bought BT Flex Extenders (2 sets) .....I need them as BT TV connection is too far to use with the ethernet cable. I also wanted to use the extra set I bought to give me a better signal upstairs.

When I use the extenders........initially all three lights, light up......power....ethernet...data. But about 8 seconds in.......the data light goes off on the master socket.

Thankfully as I bought two sets of extenders (I have ruled out that its not the extenders that are at fault)

I also checked the the ethernet ports on the Home-hub... Which are fine (tried directly with our laptops in all ports.....and showing up in my network......... but if I put the ethernet cable into the Master Socket (Flex) it does not show up.

This is my laptop connected with the ethernet without extenders

    the type of extenders

when I plug in the above..........the ports show nothing connected (and yes I have used three different ethernet cables)

I am stumped............ any help would be gratefully accepted.
