Hi, can someone clear this up for me.

My ex wife who I have a child with, has apparently the married.
She lives in a two bed property that is paid for by benefits, the guy she married has several properties (owned) in Wales.
He spends a couple of nights a week at her house, that he has paid to furnish with top end furnishings.
She also drives a brand new car, bought by him.

    Thanks in advance

from the OP, we don't know if this is fraud. If she has married and she and her husband are living as a married couple, and she is still in receipt of housing benefits as a single person, then it may be fraud. But we don't know thats the case from the OP.

Well she is either married or she isn't. If he's only staying two nights a week they don't sound like newly weds. How come you know so much about the property he owns and whether they are mortgaged or not , yet can't be sure if they are married. Perhaps you should stop listening to village gossip.

I say report, and let the investigations start, I would rather the benefits be given to someone who really needs it.

If the guy is working away then returning 'home' for two nights a week it looks like fraud.

The same applies if the arrangement has been deliberately set up to get benefits.

However, it seems that the OP doesn't have enough information.

Possibly he has principles and knows right from wrong. Good qualities for a parent to have, I would say.

Or possibly hes obsessing over what his ex wife is doing?
  • Sounds like she's having her cake and eating it. Wants to keep her council flat, but wants to live the high life at the same time.

Sounds like she's having her cake and eating it. Wants to keep her council flat, but wants to live the high life at the same time.

And likewise maybe just getting on with her life and minding her own business?

We've no evidence have we that she is doing this, just hearsay from her [STRIKE]stalker[/STRIKE] ex husband

Unless of course theres a totally legitamate reason why her ex husband knows accurately every intimacy of her and her new partners finances?

Does the OP still have contact with his child?

Firstly, I didn't say I was going to report it if my child benefits from it.
Secondly I have my son every weekend and have a very close bond with him, he is 9 years old.
I merely asked a question to which I thought I might get some information, not scroutinised on assumptions.
I know she has re married, to a man who owns two houses, she drives a brand new car, lives in near luxury and yet I know she gets housing benefit to pay her rent.
She is trying to turn my son against me because I could not afford to pay extra money to her to cover a hobby that he has taken on while in her care .
