Advice please on making a car insurance claim

Sue23, if you do claim, do not tell Aviva anything but the truth.
This is a public forum. You have disclosed the model and colour of your car, its age, your insurance company and you have posted pictures of the damage.
It is very possible that employees of Aviva read this forum and have or will read this thread.
It is also possible that someone who reads this thread will forward it to Aviva.
You will almost certainly be found out if you attempt to lie.0 -
Thanks for your reply . If I claim i would be telling them whatt exactly happened as i know the implications now. But I'm still contemplating on whether to claim via insurers or not, as I'm paying £500 excess per claim for a £1400 quote/door .I'm thinking of paying myself for 1 door & claiming for the other door via insurers as 2 claims would make matters worse.Head_The_Ball wrote: »Sue23, if you do claim, do not tell Aviva anything but the truth.

Thanks a lot for your suggestions. I did look on ebay too but unfortunately I can't find the same side doors in the same colour .foxy-stoat wrote: »Pay for it on credit card and do the 0% over 12 months, - £170 a month and it will be done in a year, you could buy a secondhand door on the ebay, the same colour for £150-£250, you may get one the same white, not sure how many shades they have. I am sure you can get this repaired for less than £2000 though.
or pay 2 x £200 in one hit and expect your premiums to rise for the next 2-3 years - if you dont have another incident or conviction in the next 5 years you will be back to where you started from.
If you paid for the repairs yourself you may take a lot more care when parking.

The OP has clearly stated that the dents and scrapes were the result of 2 separate incidents and to state otherwise to their insurers would be fraudulent, something that could well result in their policy being cancelled if the insurance company found out.
where did i say LIE?? i didnt.. i said IF also if you look at my reply i said explain circs to insurer..Sealed pot challenger # 10
