I don't mean this nastily but if you have twice made mistakes when parking isn't there the chance you will do the same once you have had the repairs. I think I'd leave it for now.

If you don't want to make two claims, there is another possibility.

Find out which repair will be the most expensive and claim for that one but before the car goes in for repair, speak to someone in the garage that will be doing the work and ask for an estimate for the 2nd job, making sure that they know what is happening.
It might work out cheaper this way as they will already be working on the car and will have the bodyshop and sprayshop already booked for the first job.
    .
Ok will ask the garage about that. So is it not mandatory that I make claim on both the doors i.e let my insurers know about both the damage. If I choose to repair 1 door (least expensive one), Can I only inform my insurer about the other door then?

Go to another garage for a quote first. I would pay to repair them yourself and save yourself the costs of excess and increased premiums....you only need to get caught for speeding or something minor to make your insurance jump up if you make 1 or 2 claims as well.

2 claims so lots of excess at £200 and a risk of further claims if someone bumps you. So £400 out of pocket and a much higher risk.

I would get it done myself, or get it tidied up until i came to sell it, then repair and sell.

    Thanks for your reply.
I have asked around in a few body repiar shops for quotes and they are all quoting atleast £2000 for replacing front door & repairing the other door.
I'm looking into paying it myself but £2000 seems a lot of money to fork out.Hence I was wondering if i took the route of going down the insurance claim it might work out cheaper. But from the advice i'm getting here,it sounds like paying it myself would be the economical thing to do.

I was going to suggest the same thing. Why bother repairing it? Especially when it will hit your no claims and premiums for the next 5 years.
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

It was my pride & joy and I hate driving around it with the dent now.

We have protected NCB & it states with the first claim we don't loose our NCB, but whether it will still affect our future premiums, I'm not sure.
Does anyone know how it works please?
