:j:j:j:j:j I am so pleased for you both. We got married 33 years ago in a registry office with just our parents there, had a three day honeymoon then got back to the removal van on Monday for DH to start a new job.
When DH was diagnosed he really wanted us married "properly" so we had a church "blessing" with all family and friends there. I had a champagne lace knee length dress and jacket (bargain in the sales) and we had a lovely day."This site is addictive!"

Just don't expect me to start looking at Wedding Magazines or Fairs. They're terrifying.
I give it a week.
Sometimes its ok to do things that lots of other people also do. Just enjoy yourself, don't worry about keeping up your cynical image, if you want a meringue and 7 bridesmaids why the hell not? If you want a registry office and jeans then why not?
Congratulations, I hope you'll be very happy.0 -
Yup, no point playing the rebel just for the sake of it.
Got the wedding list sorted yet? Mother of the bride will want to get her outfit, you know what mums are like

Hey!
Have you considered a popcorn booth?
Or an ice ceam van?
Or a photo booth?
Apparently it's all the rage.
:rotfl:
Yeah!
I would have dismissed them too.
