We had checked on-line that the price was reasonable and Renault dealer prices seem in line with others for this car. So we are going to buy it. I will pay the deposit (less trade-in for our old car) and DH is going to pay the rest over 24 months and we will pick it up Friday, all things being equal fingers xd.

Congratulations! Enjoy the new car :j

Hi all. I have been MIA again. Not much to report money making wise.
Used another £20 shopping voucher code.
Also found a £20 am@zon voucher I had last xmas.
Should have some overtime pay this month which helps.
Biggest news is that OH is back in work so things should be a little easier, money wise.
Determined to try and live on my wage and pay debts off with his.

Anyway, well done everyone, you all seem so focused. It's really helping keep me on track (most of the time)

Congratulations all you moneymakers:beer:. I've not been one of them over the weekend:o. Have claimed money from PA but isn't here yet. Also, nothing got listed on eBay to take advantage of the offer but there's always today. Or not, in my case:o

I'm so happy for you with the car Lynne:j:j:j. It's a lovely feeling getting one and I wish you and DH many years of happy, safe and trouble-free motoring. The model OH was hoping to get was the Dacia Duster. It's a 4x4 (although I think they make it in a 2x4) and he's been hankering after a 4x4 for donkeys years but the prices of other brands put him off ever having one. The Dacia was perfect but, as I said before, he dithered too long and it was snapped up by another canny buyer:(. OH doesn't like parting with his money;) but a reliable car is essential out here and the Duster was an absolute steal. In the end he bought a Nissan Qashqai which is lovely but is 3 years older than the Dacia was and still cost slightly more:eek:. There are no Dacia dealerships anywhere within many many miles and none of the other dealerships had any although a few said they'd keep a look out for one for him. He likes to buy as local as he can just in case of problems;). He says it will be his first choice again next time and there will probably be more of them about by the time he trades up again (usually about every 3 years unlike me who does it about every 12:rotfl:)

Well done on what you've made so far, nom10. Should be a good final result if your overtime pay comes in by the month's end:T

Great news about OH's new job:T. I expect that will make Christmas with all its expense a lot less stressful

Sorry I haven't commented loads - it's been super crazy busy getting everyone and everything ready for the holiday tomorrow but I've managed £60 from my occasional job (increase in the new year as they want me to do a bit more/slightly different work - I basically teach the Mod 1 of the motorcycle test but as cover when they are short or have too many students etc. Going forward they want me to take my CBT qualification so I can teach that too and provide cover when their regular instructors take time off... so it won't be a regular job that I can really add to my SOA as some months might be nothing and others I might work 2 full weekends! I'll never know most of it in advance - but it does mean I'll need to register as SE again - bah humbug LOL)
On top of that I sold two units for £40 on FB so that gets me up to £100! YAY!

My friend has 3 sets of my curtains listed on FB to see if they sell whilst I'm away on holiday so it's possible that there will be more pennies hehehe

Unless someone propositions me out in Florida though then my main efforts to make £10 a day this month have probably reached a conclusion - but I shall be back like a woman possessed next month as I will then be able to start shifting some of my Christmas crafts :) Yay!

Well done on the job too:T
