DS and I have been chilling at home today as DH is working away. We have both been doing surveys.

I have finally got rid of Crowdology after doing a series of surveys on an app and it hasn't credited and they told me I had a payout recently, ignoring the question asked.

I am going to stick with select survey companies, can't be bothered with having loads and then having trouble getting payout or reaching payout levels.

DS and I didn't realise it was raining. It must be raining straight down as nothing hitting the windows. We went out to go shopping at sainsbury's and were shocked it was raining! It was pouring down!

i did win 500 points which I had added to my card immediately before I lose the till spit!

........ I fly to Portugal tomorrow morning to celebrate my 50th with some old school friends. :D............
Hope you have a wonderful holibobs and HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Well done to all the money makers :T

Our plans for new phones was side-swiped today by my step-daughter breaking down nearly an hour away and DH having to play rescue-man. Turns out her car is a total 'heap' and DH has condemned it and told her to get something else.

Now - how is this for serendipity. Last week I happened to read a review on Dacia cars, which seem to be cheap but reliable. So today when he returned, I told DH and he said to see if there are any for sale nearby at a reasonable price. I found some and sent DSD the details.

DH is now interested in replacing our old banger for something more reliable, especially with winter approaching and ours making strange noises again, and so we are going to test drive one t/m. It will only be a second-hand one but ten years newer. So please, dear friends, cross everything for us that it all works out ok. I'll up-date t/m.

So, long story short, not made anything today but not spent anything either :rotfl:

Hope you all have a soothing Sunday

  • What a brilliant thread this is this weekend. So many exciting/unexpected things going on:j. Sorry about any setbacks anyone has had, or lack of money making opportunities but hang on in there and something good will turn up eventually. I fully agree with Lynne's serendipity theory:T. I'm a big believer in it myself;)

Lynne, sorry the phone plan went pear-shaped but you may be on to something brilliant with the cars. OH nearly bought a Dacia last year. It had (genuinely;)) belonged to the sister of the dealer and had all sorts of extras. Only 6 months old too and the only reason she was selling was that she was moving to Spain permanently. We were both very impressed with it but OH, being OH, dithered too long at making up his mind:( and someone else snapped it up. He ended up buying a different brand but says he will probably get a Dacia next time. You get a heck of a lot for the money spent. They are cheap because they are new to the UK market and the company want to establish a foothold. OH knows several people who own them and they are delighted. Good Luck:beer:

Aesop, your cosy weekend with DS sound just what you needed:beer:. Congratulations on the Sainsb win:T. I agree with you about cutting down the surveys and just concentrating on the really reliable/better payers. I'm doing exactly the same. Life's too short and all that;). I got the eBay invitation too but I'm not sure if I'll be taking advantage of it:(.

TheBanker, glad you enjoyed your cosy night in. Sounds lovely. This is my favourite time of year, like you I'm all for cosiness:T. I love lamb, it's my favourite meat, but we hardly ever have it unless I find any in the stickered section:o. It's always extortionately expensive compared to other meat:(

I am going to have to google Dacia, never heard of them. DH and I were talking about buying a new car. Someone we know has decided they need a newer car, even though there is absolutely nothing wrong with their old one. DH said he would buy me a newer second hand car tomorrow but why would i need it? I said the only reason I would like another car is for a 4 door as we have a 2 door. DS is very good about shutting the passenger door as he climbs in the back but it is very restrictive and he doesn't like not having a window to wind down. The person we were talking about cant afford a new car but is insisting their partner take out a loan for it! :eek:

    anyway quick catch up.

CBC I meant to say you are extremely helpful to this thread, you post lots and are very welcoming to everybody. You also post very useful advice and suggestions.

Did you buy your digital camera from ebay with the offer?

Kantakurus Mare - happy birthday and have a lovely birthday holiday. Such a lovely way to celebrate. _party_:bdaycake:

I have found some new apps and some new sites, some can be done on pcs as well. So something for everyone. Will update a bit later.

I think people are just busy with work, school, studies etc hence thread being a bit quiet. I must start trying to post more ideas on how to earn extra money. Even I forget from time to time what to do next.

Oh and CBC about MS - there are some companies where you can just work from home ie making calls to companies, emails etc so you don't have to travel to earn money.

Well done! On both the win and timing it so you could get a gift card. I always seem to miss anything being in stock but I suppose it just means when I get my timing right I'll have even more points to splash out with.
