  • Nothing to report since my last update really, my grandma gave me £20 to help me along with uni, which I'm not really wanting to include as I want to do this off my own back selling stuff and being resourceful, but I'll add it for now since I've had a quiet week.

    £70ish now

    Evening all

Thanks for the positives about my little op. Suppose I'm making a 'mountain' but hate anything to do with eyes, ears etc. Very nice consultant, who will do the 'op' herself, and it will be only a local anaesthetic she said "unless there are any probs" Another worry is that it's genetic not age-related, so the other one will prob need doing as well in the future. Oh well - could be lots worse eh :)

Getting a bit worried about you being so tired all the time Aesop ? Maybe it's time to pop along to the local quack and get a check-up. It maybe just doing too much and not enough sleep, but equally you might be anaemic or low on certain vits. Worth having a look :D

I haven't read that book CBC, but will try to order it from the library - thanks. I too have experience of lots of committees, both good and bad. Wonder if the chair/deputy of the one Aesop's on found it didn't have much support in previous years and are just used to having to do most of the work. Still doesn't excuse them not informing the committee of changed meeting though

Everything crossed for you Shariann that the monies come through for you. Sounds great if it means you can get all your debts etc sorted. Though pleased to hear you're not intending to leave us :D

Lurve the attitude Connor - but money's money and it all counts :rotfl:

Just £2.40 on surveys today but at least better than nowt :j

Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday

    Evening everyone

Not sure if I have updated this month so excuse me if I am repeating myself. £34.94 from topcashback, £1.50 Shopmium and £7.50 MOC from sainsburys so total so far is £43.94.

Think my mortgage is finally sorted and should have the money next week so will be able to clear credit cards and loan, finish work on house and sort out some other stuff and repayments will be less than half what I have been paying for the last year! I am so excited but still can't quite believe it's finally happening - will feel better once funds are in my account.

I am determined to keep on with the money making though and not be complacent or frivolous although I am thinking I might book a weekend away for me and OH. Things have been very difficult for the last few months and I think it would be good for us to get away for a couple of days.

Hope to check in a bit more often from now on although I do read the thread but feel I should contribute a bit more and try to be more helpful to my fellow money makers like Aesop, Lynne and CBC. I totally agree that it is so nice on here and everyone is friendly and not at all judgemental like they can be on some other threads/sites.

    Thanks everyone xx

    that's fab news shariann. :A:T:j

I know you have been going through a hard time and you were really worried.

so pleased that things are finally getting settled. enjoy your time away with DH. well deserved.

you could use any money made from this thread to overpay your new mortgage and then you will be mortgage free before you know it xx

thanks CBC I will.look for that book. I will find time to read it.

I have been told today my money has been put through for the big job I did. so pleased as was worried I was going to get docked.

Lynnejk, completely understand bejng worried about op. I hate ops now having had a few and every time go Dr my bp rises and they make me sit for 10 mins before taking it again.

I did have blood tests recently. think a mix of things. too many late nights and then woken by DH at 5am and then rushing around. not eating properly and exercising either. I need to sort that out ASAP.

it's a new chair and vice chair. they are friends and I think over enthusiastic and probably thinking they have to do everything themselves . will see how it goes. can always resign lol.

I've had a flurry of things coming in - £8.37 from an Amazon sale, £81.74 interest (a regular saver matured this week) £90.58 from a mystery shop and a regular survey-type thing (quarterly payment). I've sold something on eBay but won't count that until I get paid - for some reason I get a bad feeling about it so not sure if it will complete.

Great news, shariann:T. You must be so relieved that things are sorted now and you can relax:beer:.

A short break away with OH sounds like a really good idea after all you've been through. Please don't feel guilty about spending money on it. Sometimes there are things in life that are much more valuable than money:kisses3:

Thanks for including me in the same 'helpful' group as Aesop and Lynne:). I do my best to support others as I've received such encouragement and help on here myself but I haven't been able to offer anything near the level of help that Aesop:A and Lynne:A have. I'm usually the one asking for their help:o

    Evening lovely peoples

Well done all the money-makers this week :T

Pleased to see you have been paid for that work Aesop. I agree with you about the committee - new brooms and all that :rotfl: You must make some time for yourself though - even if only 30 mins sitting with a cup of tea (or whatever) and some music or a book - p-l-e-a-s-e.

You certainly are a help and support CBC. Your lovely posts, full of chat and info, and the support you give to all others on the thread is such a positive thing. You're an :A in your own way.

Shock ! Horror ! This morning my phone line, and therefore my broadband, were missing totally  After quite a long mobile call I was given an assurance that they would deal with it urgently - I admit that I did crawl a bit :rotfl: Well I'll give TT their due - both restored after about an hour thank goodness :T  :T I was soo relieved.

I have £20.50 to add today - 50p from a survey and £20 from daily clicks on inbox surveys - how much patience is that ?? :D

Hope you all have a thrilling Thursday

    I love your daily sign-offs, Lynne:T

I thought I was in for a 'throbbing Thursday' instead of a thrilling one as I woke up at 5 with toothache.. Miraculously though, it's gone:j. Mustn't get complacent though as it definitely needs attention sooner rather than later. I just keep putting off the visit to the dentist:o

Just dropped in to report receipt of a £5 Morrison's voucher which I forgot to mention yesterday, plus £6.29 from Amazon which arrived in my bank overnight.

Had a lovely surprise this afternoon when a courier delivered a prize which I'd forgotten I'd entered to win as it was weeks ago. I had no email, phone call or anything to tell me I'd won, just a big mysterious box arriving. Not that I'm complaining or anything, I love unexpected happenings (when they're nice):j

I went to a big food/cookery fair ages ago and entered every prize draw available. This one was for a set of 5 Stellar 3000 pans. They are absolutely gorgeous in bright shiny ruby red:j. A nice prize, just been online and they sell anywhere from £117 on eBay to £134 on other sites.

Obviously I'm not going to include the price in my total as I would never have bought anything so luxurious/ expensive myself. In fact I wouldn't have bought any pans at all until my current mis-matched collection wears out and that could be years away.

Bit of a predicament though:o. Should I sell them and make some handy cash (in which case I would count the proceeds in my total as it would be 'free' money) or do I keep them for a day far in the future when I need them? It's a bit like those survey questions that ask whether we WANT the product or NEED it:rotfl:. I don't need these pans at the moment but I sure as heck want them. Can't stop drooling:j
