Accepting it would honestly just go against everything I stand for. It's like paying a ransom.

Walking away is very much an option. We're about a grand into it already, but I can take that hit if only to take the moral high ground (as it appears to me).

I have to be honest and say I'd be the same. Money isn't everything (although I'm very conscious that's not so easy to say when you're struggling to make ends meet) and it'd irritate me for a long, long time if I gave in to a deliberate attempt to pull a fast one.

Are the estate agents not working today?

Why have you not clarified the F&Fs yet? all it takes is 3 phone calls: you to EA; EA to vendor; EA to you.

If they are ademant about charging extra for this stuff, I'd walk way. If they say "sorry - misunderstnding. That F&F list was for the last buyers. It's all included" then problem solved.

These EAs don't seem to do a lot of work. I'd done numerous viewings myself as they had no-one available.

Good news though - it was an old list for the previous sale. I'm very curious to know just what sort of, accepted, offer got the buyer that F&F list though.

One change though, they want to keep the curtains. Fine by me, not going to kick up a fuss about that. Hopefully that'll be the last of it, and we'll get a new F&F list without anything else excluded.

This is coming from the EA though, so have prompted the solicitor to get the F&F list ASAP.

The wife is brimming with joy once again. I'm waiting for F&F list & exchange!

Hang on, some of us do own private wheelie bins!

Like 'two jags' Prescott, we have a pair, as our council is too cash-strapped to supply them to rural customers.

Our bin men don't seem to know what to do with them, but that's another story!

Hang on pal, we have one waste bin for 4 households. Christmas ain't a breeze!

So no big deal in the end

Hopefully OP will learn to take things a little easier as the deal progresses (at least until he knows whether a full blown rant is justified :))

I'll do my best! They weren't kidding when they said moving house was the most stressful thing you can do.
