Hello, We are off to Barcelona for a few days, and I'm looking for suggestions of any must dos - I've a teenager who's not interested in football, but trying to prioritise in an affordable manner - happy to walk lots...

La Sagrade Familia! You might have to queue for a while to get in but it's breathtaking.0

If you like to walk there are "free" (tips only) walking tours see http://www.runnerbeantours.com We've done a few of their tours including a couple of paid ones and they were very good.0

For a teenager, the amusement park at Mount Tibidabo. A tram ride up, fabulous views and unique rides - something for everybody.

And a fantastic aquarium down by the port.

One Must do I recommend is to keep hold of your belongings/put bags in front of you rather than on your back if possible especially on their tube system and on Las Ramblers where there are crowds.
Lovely city, have a great time.:)0 -
Sensible teenager.
The weather is looking set fair so Parc Guell, Montjuic and the Waterfront are good.
If you are there this Sunday (1st of the month) then there is free entry to a few attractions that would usually be charging."enough is a feast"...old Buddist proverb0 -
Thanks so much all - they look great x0

If you want a cheapish meal or even a coffee go to the cafeteria in El Cortes Ingles (department store). the views across the city are amazing and the food's not bad either!0

I hope I'm not too late. If you get a chance and they are practicing or better still performing, go to see the castallers make their human towers. I have been to Barcelona about 15 times, but it was only on the most recent visit last month that I got to see this as part of the festival of La Diada.
It is truly one of the most amazing things I've ever seen.

They made one tower and then peeled back and left a single pillar of people (called the needle) seven tall, all on each others shoulders. Amazing.

This but book online before you go. Then happily skip past everyone waiting in the queue and walk straight in
