I've just realised I've not eaten lunch
I was too busy playing scrabble & chatting to a friend via Facebook while chatting to another friend on another set of forums, updating turbolister and then trying to sort out what was in the 5 boxes worth listing - we have 2 boxes for the charity shop, a bag of OH's stuff which he can sort out when he gets in, and 2 boxes to list, and thats just from the relisting stuff - that doesn't include the box under my bed of recently outgrown stuff, or my next declutter session through the house
Right, food....:wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Hi everyone,
I've finished my list for today, really chuffed.
Window fitters arrived about 2pm and have done two windows, they are back tomorrow to do the rest, then its the porch and conservatory.
Not sure how I'll get on tomorrow with 4 blokes wandering around and the window fitting thing seems a bit messy, but I'll give it my best shot.
I'm not even thinking about Christmas, cause we won't be here. Not thinking about the winter either, but need to get my parents to look at a couple of houses in Oz and see if they are ok for us.....
I'll be thinking of all you guys in your winter woollies!!!
Oh, tidying the girls floor seems to have done the trick, they are upstairs at the moment tidying the sides down. I have explained that friday is the day I clean their rooms, so it all needs to be sorted for then. They seem quite energised!
Got a load of clothes to fold and put away and then apart from dinner ( and the dishes) I think I'm pretty much done!0 -
:j Finally got in touch with housing officer about reference, squillions of calls later as she must be the hardest person to get in touch with, mission in itself!! She's going to email a copy of her reference for us today, is one in post aswell, then that's the house application sorted
just have to wait for landlady's decision then.
More of assignment done, no idea if I have got it rightbut at least I have tried, will do some more tonight when we get back....
Did manage to get a laundry load washed and dried, thinking if I keep up with the basics it'll help. Bagged another bag of junk before bin men came too to stick in other people's bins.
Time to find the stuff for the RC racing, so will catch up with you all laterhugs to all who need/want one.
One day I might be more organised...........

Ok quick catch-up...
A thought I had about turbo lister for those who have just started with it... when you are writing the discription click on the discription builder button - opens up a new window and this lets you add the pics and all the formatting i.e. new paragraphs will apply to whatever text you type. I do remember having probs with firewall and uploading to ebay to start with but once that was fixed it is much easier to use than the SYI form!
No 2 has lost his PE jacket at school today - someone has taken it home - this happened 6 months ago and although it was named - nobody returned it  although what is more amazing is that our eldest managed to lose a pinafore at school :rotfl: I have to add that it was one of those days where she had to take something else in to wear and got changed out of proper uniform halfway through the day!
Coffee break over - better find my brain and check over homework.0 -
You seem in much better spirits today lil_me, I'm so pleased, and well done on persevering with the assignment and the housing officer.
Well Done Frankie :T
chasingbutterflies Littley had a cardigan go missing out of her school drawer the end of last term, so in essence it was stolen, and the teacher did naff all about it  It's so annoying....
Just took the chicken out the oven and the pressure cooker's steaming away with the veg, so that'll be ready shortly, yum!
The living room's been trashed! It was beautiful, now it's full of pairs of shoes, homework papers, crisp packets and crumbs off the sarnie they had when they come in, and the hallway's full of coats and bags that were just dumped! don't know why I bother sometimes! Anyway I'm not doing it again so they can shift it all when they've had their tea.
K, time to turn the steamer down.....0 -

I haven't made them up myself before but have bought very small baskets for various people. Just shown some of those featured on last years basket thread to DD and she said 'WOW Mum we have got to make some of those'We shall do them for Nanan, Nannie and my Aunt at least. Will get my thinking cap on to do one each for both Grandad's as well.

We had a cardigan go missing the second day of this term!! I wouldn't mind but the uniform is green and the cardigan was blue!!!! so it wasn't like anyone else will wear it.. there is only me sends the children in any colour uniform.. it is my non-conformist expression, my rebellion against order lol Still off-pi$$ing though.. I must remember to complain about it again.. This year, my nieces are getting the bratz ones, my mum is getting the one with slippers, my friends little girl is getting the one with little me stuff (as she is the baby girl I will never have), father in law always get's a box of radox bath stuff.
My Dad is getting a horsey hamper! A trug bucket (that will be used as a feed bucket), a bucket mate for grooming stuff, dimaonte browband, good thermal socks (the thin but oh so warm ones) and maybe a harbronger, depending on if I can stretch that far. Oh, a head collar and lead rope and some treats for the bubbas too.
I used to make the bags of goodies for the nieces every year, but this year decided to make hampers. Everone else who usually gets chocks will maybe get one too, I am going to go mad!
That thread is great, I had a quick look at a link someone had posted for baskets and bows and stuff, so may be nosing there later. There is also loads of hamper ideas on the Christmas forum.
I used to be a florist, or is that work as a florist? lol! So, a few years ago I did them all the time, bottle of whisky and shortbread bikits from poundies used to be a good seller! Basically, anything you would normally give, you put in a basket or fancy box, wrap some cello round it and charge an extra £5. I miss it....

Tia.. I did a bucket with window cleaning stuff last year.. and one with sweets and cheese and wine.. I'm going to do my mother a sewing one this year I think.. with threads and 'stuff'... all in a sewing box.. I hate to think of the boxes going to waste and neglect after the gift is given so like to use something 'useful'.. like your trug I guess. I'd LOVE someone to do me one in one of those lovely wicker shopping baskets.. like red riding hood lol.. I'd like chocolates and biscuits and warm fluffy socks and puzzle books and such like in mine... I may have to have a word with hubby! and go HINT!!!! lol.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
