Amazon fail to deliver item on THREE occasions and repeatedly LIE to me.

There's probably a reason ops not answered this question. Probably because it's a silly one
While I accept that Amazon have currently failed to deliver at all, the OP could relax and collect at his own convenience if he elected to have it delivered to a nearby "Locker".
The Op complains he has missed "several appointments" waiting in for the item. Delivery to a Locker would surely solve that problem?
If Amazon continue failing to deliver, the OP should get a refund and purchase elsewhere.0 -

I do feel if this is the worst customer service the OP has ever had he has been lucky so far. The advice is all here. If you are that perturbed cancel for a refund and buy elsewhere.
I think you need to "chill" a little. It really isn't the end of the world and you have been given the right advice about what to do if you are finding it so stressful.0 -

Perhaps you need to do likewise? OP says they were in, on 3 separate occasions, but the parcel was never actually delivered on any of those occasions. How would getting a delivery to their work address solve the problem of non-delivery?0 -
Your naive faith in the veracity and timeliness of Amazon Logistics is laudable, yet ultimately one of folly.0

I always have my eligible deliveries made to the local post office.
I find this much easier than waiting in and the inevitable frustration of
'tried to deliver' when in all day.0 -

If I knew for certain no one would be in, I'd use a Locker and collect from there at my own convenience.
Touch wood, I won't experience any of that "folly" you refer to in the future0 -

Our Post Room are not to pleased with Amazon deliveries.
They have a habit of delivering random parcels to use especially for the big block next door. Their drivers refuse to take the parcels back the next day (When they point out they've been miss delivered) to redeliver them to the correct address. They tell our post room staff they are not allowed to take possession of them again.
Amusingly they tell our staff that they can do what they want with the parcels as Amazon don't care and they will send replacements or refund them.
They don't seem to understand that the post room staff are not allowed to "do what they want with them" and are not allowed to deliver them to the correct addresses themselves. They are only allowed to give the parcel back to the courier who delivered them and receive a signature to keep the internal tracking process upto date.
The office down the road have exactly the same problem and cannot do anything either due to their own rules. Both post rooms have Amazon parcels mounting up.
No doubt the customers are non to happy as their parcels will show as being delivered0
