Good Luck MOT I hope that the move goes ok.

When Mum and I went through emergency housing we had to share a room. You'll be fine, I think we were there about 2 months and the time flew by for me!

Everything will be fine and at least you are in the system for housing now.

  • Hi MOT,

I am so pleased for you, I've followed this marathon thread and I marvel about how brave and resourceful you are, not to mention determined. I have suffered from depression for seven years and I have been on my knees under far less stress!! I think you sound like a great mum and your children are very lucky to have someone so strong as you. I hope you will be happy and can put all the bad stuff behind you and get back to a sense of normality and enjoy christmas.

Remember this is the first step and in the new year you could have a lovely new house. I'm a tenant of Liverpool city council soon to change to a housing association and in line with the decent home standards as set out by the government we are getting new kitchens, renovated houses, such as bathrooms, toilets, tiles, floor and wall and central heating. All councils/HA's will have to meet these standards by 2012 (I think) and so hopefully when you when you do get a new home you can have all sorts done to it. I am on a tenant consultant board and you get to choose the finishes etc in your home so I just thought I'd throw that out there for something for you to look forward to, I know with me and my 'black dog' little things like that make a difference.

Again, good luck and happiness to you and your children.

Congrats MOT - don't forget to tell I-T where you are ;)

Here's hoping you get somewhere permanent soon - that would make a great 1000th post!!

Is it far from where you currently are?
Did you leave dear LL a leaving present???

Hope you get settled in soon.
Love to you and the twins.

    Hi MOT:hello:

Congratulations on getting the flat. Let's hope this is one step closer to you getting a settled home. Please tell the children that i am thinking of you all and tell DD I am hoping you have an oven that works and that you are not sharing the flat with child sized spiders:eek:

Try to give yourself a pat on the back and appreciate yourself for all that you have withstood. You have shown enormous resilience in the face of the recent roller coaster that your emotions must have been taking.

Well done. Definitely WOMAN OF THE YEAR.

    Spirit.
