For what? a house, a flat or a garage to put your stuff in?? Can she not tell you, so you can prepare yourself?

That HLO is really poo, MoT. Ring them this afternoon to "arrange" for the signing-up, then you'll know if she's really sorted it or it's on her To-Do list.

BTW, the fireworks were great - very ooohh...aahh - and free!

I've rung a friend who works for the HA and asked her to do some 'digging' around for me!

    Hi MOT

Hope you had a good weekend. I read this thread most days to see how you are getting on but don’t get chance to post much. I am thinking about you and hope things get sorted soon. Keep your chin up girl!!

    What a day!

    Been packing all day.

Heard from HLO (and my friend at HA secretly) that it we were being given a bedsit - shared bathroom and shared kitchen - immediately fell apart! Really felt that I'd let the twins down and sobbed my heart out. But rallied round and starting packing for us all to have the essentials with us.

5.10pm I get a phone call from the HA to be told it is a one bed flat, own kitchen, own bathroom and one double bed! So now the packing had to be rethought - can now take DS's PS2 to keep him happy - but a double bed??? Me and two children -a boy and girl??? So now taking a put you up bed to put in the bedroom (hopefully) so that we all have our own sleeping 'space'.

Yippee! And about time too! :j
But don't forget to let I-T know where you've gone! (as if you would! :smileyhea )

Is it OK for the Twins' school? It will be "interesting" sharing 1 bedroom with your kids, but I'm sure you will manage for however long you are there.....don't forget to have your Housing List details amended to say you are in a 1-bed flat.

I'm really pleased for you all......where do we come for the flat-warming party ?!

    Love & hugs Floss xx

    Thinking of you MOT and !!!!{hugs}}}

You WILL get through this. I ended up in a homeless hostel once (with a v. small babe and having to cope with going through a house repossession and divorce and the same time) and although it's horrible, you just need to focus on getting in the place you've been offered, making it the best of it and then planning and concentrating on the end result - ie. the permanent accommodation at the end of it.

I was there three months before I was permanently rehoused and, although it was hell, it was worth it in the end.

    Just be strong.

Thanks for all your good wishes! Twins think it is all very exciting, my neighbours have been absolutely fantastic all through this and especially today - helped with packing, made my lunch, Denise picked the twins up from school (which they loved!), cooked tea for us and then came back here to finish off packing (I didn't realise just how much I had:eek: ) and her husband was taking down curtains and poles. They have given us all lots of hugs today and I have cried on many occasions due to their kindness.

Removal men coming between 7am and 7.30am so an early start, and need to ask them if they can drop a load off at flat instead of taking it all into storage. Denise's husband has suggested mobile Broadband with Vodafone 3G so that I can keep in touch with you all more easily and he is going to find out more for me tomorrow.

Anyway, off to bed now as completely shattered xx
