NB - On the point of the Donations - I'm not sure it will be possible via JustGiving. My understanding is that it is only for registered charities and it does charge a small transaction fee on each donation. If MOT is agreable a Paypal 'button' may be the thing to do. It might mean setting up a blog page in order to do this - but I'm sure with all the tech peeps on the 'Geek' board
this should easily be achieveable, and would possibly be a great place for press to converge for details!!!!

I got an email yesterday from Paypal - they are now on Facebook.....
Use PayPal to raise money on Facebook
Build a badge so your friends can help support a cause of your choice. It couldn't be easier to request money or get your friends to donate.
Plus PayPal and Facebook have teamed up to provide an option to send money to your mates. You can now avoid those awkward conversations where you have to remind your friends that they owe you.

Click on the link for more info, I deleted as it was no good to me at the time but hope that helps. Get a personal account else you'll get charged each time for accepting money. HTH0 -
no i've just checked out just giving and we would need to register MOT as a charity which i don't think is viable. I have looked at paypal and if MOT agrees we can set something up to transfer the money directly to her. that would be easiest. watch this space we'll see what we can do once MOT is back. xxdebt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0

I am absolutely gutted ... When I read the "Unanimous No" my stomach fell to the floor.
I don't have much money but will gladly donate something to help her get a deposit/first months rent/whatever.
Huge hugs to Mot, IT and the twins

We need something non technical - I for one have no idea about paypal buttons or anything - if someone points me in the right direction that would be good but don't make it so complicated that people have to register with paypal or whatever to do it please.Making my money go further with MSE :j
