To be honest it is a more they say we say situation, Now Medical are paid by Dacorum,MOTs Psychologist is paid by her solicitor HOWEVER in MOT's Psychologist ran a full gamut of tests one to counteract the other to find a true diagnosis this is of greater important than what a psychiatrists opinion is.

The word that keeps jumping out at me from the NOW Medical report is their frequent use of 'Speculative'. Should they be 'speculating' on something so important? Whatever they 'think', I believe the report by the psychologist who has met with MOT and conducted throrough tests, written and verbal, over a period of two hours to be of more worth and credibility than that of some faceless individual making an assessment based on what they have been told by the Council and what they have read. Gird up your loins MOT (do women have loins?) the fight is not lost yet.

Yes, I think speculation can be pulled apart when you are going to be bringing facts into the ring with the psych report.

No, this is some of the extra info that I received y'day and which has sent the steam whistling from my ears:mad:

If you were in full health at the time you obviously would have paid your rent becuase you would have realised that not paying your rent could have left you homeless. So by the fact that you got yourself into such rent arrears must have meant that you couldn't manage and you couldn't manage because you were not in full control of your facilities.

So the council in their belated and unqualified assessment decide that you knew what you were doing by not paying your rent. That because you were capable of looking after your children that must mean that you were capable in all other areas of your life. How ridiculous is that!

But the most ridiculous thing of all is that the landlord was selling the property anyway, so arguements about rent arrears are irrelevent, even if your rent was upto date the landlord had the property on the market and was selling!

Don't forget that the psycho Dr said "outwardly appears capable" so as HLO is not medically qualified, let alone psychi or psycho (well.....) qualified, how can she make a judgement on your actual capability or capacity to do day-to-day tasks. :mad:

And why does she make such a thing of having an immaculate home? Apart from the tinyness of the flat, surely if you can keep your surroundings clean & tidy when you're not quite right in the head, then that is an achievement in itself. What would she have said about someone with OCD who has the compulsion to clean & tidy up - would she recognise their problems?!

Just picking up on this .... a relative of mine has paranoid schizophrenia which is quite severe and they get hospitalised regularly. However, outwardly no one would ever know they were suffering such mental distress internally as they are immaculately dressed and presented and keep their house immaculate too. So outward appearances can be deceptive when dealing with people suffering from all kinds of mental distress.
