I would suggest something not too risque - I-T needs to keep his mind on the job, not on your legs :p

Oh, and maybe wear layers that can be removed if necessary - Councils aren't the greatest at getting the heating right, so it may be either freezing or boiling!

And don't forget, you are the embodiement of the thread, so don't let us down! :D

Floss do you know I-T:rolleyes: he IS a legs man :rotfl: :rotfl: !

No SF please don't wear a 'vest' :rotfl: :rotfl:

Sitting here now with a 'supporter' going through every page of my file questioning various things and making a list for I-T to help him prepare his defence.

I think you've brought up an interesting subject SF, now for MOT's image on the day.

As managing to dress herself and her children and being able to read and write went against her I think she needs a quick sweep of the charity bins at the back of Asda, main targets are items with stains and preferably smelling of something quite foul. I believe this is the image that the DBC are used to and expect of a homeless person and it will hold her in a more favourable light.

OMG MissPoppy!!! Even in my darkest hours I manage to put something on that looks half decent!

In this new info from the council there was mention that I keep the flat immaculate! My mum brought me up to keep my home clean and tidy so much so that I can be obsessive about it! However, when I am at my lowest it doesn't get cleaned but is always tidyish as it would push me over the edge if things were lying everywhere and the twins are quite good at keeping tidy. But I do get a compulsion to blitz everything every so often - its like cleansing my mind:confused:

    Long time lurker here :o

I just wanted to wish you all the best for next week's meeting, I am sure that with the support of everyone here, regardless of the outcome you are now more than fully equipped to tackle whatever cr*p life and in particular DBC may decide to throw your way.

My sister is also a long time lurker and hasnt had internet access for a few days, when I was talking to her last night she asked for the latest update. My boyfriend wondered what on earth I was talking about, that'll teach him to tab-hang!

Best of luck to you all MOT, IT, and of course the twins themselves.

Hi SC - just added your email to my contacts and will send you email shortly.

    Quote from my psychologists report:

    Conclusions

    1. Mrs D has a temperament charcterised by a sensitive and tender-minded nature combined with outgoing extravert traits. Because of her extraverted nature, she presents well and outwardly appears capable. She is also the compliant type and claims to be responsible and conscientious. My impression is that she is being genuine in describing her symptoms and problems and that the present results may be considered as reliable.

    2. At present she is suffering from mental health symptoms to such a degree that she is only just coping and may be close to a nervous breakdown. At times during the assessment she was close to tears such as when talking about the effect of her divorce on the children. Her accomodation and financial difficulties are of course adding to the previous stressors that triggered her disorder.

    3. The present assessment indicates a profile consistent with that outlined in the reports from her present and previous GP and with the psychiatric analysis of Dr W. Because of her specific symptoms, a classification of Adjustment Disorder is indicated as the most appropriate diagnosis in this case.

    4. Because of her chronic and disabling symptoms, referral to the CMHT is strongly indicated. With appropriate therapy for coping with stress and with a resolution of at least her accomodation problems, the prognosis should be favourable.

    5. Her hope for the future includes returning to work, regaining physical fitness and her normal cheerful personality, and restoring her social life. However at the moment she is not thinking much beyond coping on a day to day basis while focusing on the needs of her children.

    6. In my opinion she is suffering from the symptoms of a mental illness (specifically an adjustment disorder) which is of a nature and degree that can explain why she got into financial difficulties. Because of being preoccupied with her problems and symptoms she chose instead to cope by focusing on her children and related activities, putting other obligations to one side which should have included keeping up with the rent payments."

I took some customers to Italy, a couple of years ago, to look at some machines. One of the customers was female and, on the last evening, we were at dinner with the suppliers, and the wine was flowing steadily.
The MD of my suppliers' company asked my customers if they had 'enjoyed' their week in Italy, to which all except one answered yes. A slightly 'alcoholic' voice from the corner of the table piped up:

"I'm not at all happy - I've been in Italy for almost a week, and nobody has pinched my bum yet!"
I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.
