  • Is there an early repayment fee kicking in (accidentally or otherwise)?

The lady I spoke too said over £59k with erc
then when I reiterated i wouldn't complete before 31st Oct she gave me a figure of £58,900 where as online banking currently shows £57,700, all she could tell me was interest. I maybe being thick am not sure, I assumed there would be a slight difference

And hang in there. The small wins add up. There were times that paying off ours seemed hopeless....but ...it can and will happen.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

  • Morning all,

I am finally feeling better. Having been under the weather for some weeks now with one thing and another some major work-related changes took place yesterday. This will result in less money coming in, but gives me more time to focus on the family and my health. I have severe workaholic tendencies (culminated in being very poorly early part of last year), and have recognised those have been slowly creeping in again. Nipped it bud before it gets worse.

    Up early so I have:

    - put a spag bol in slow cooker
    - Unloaded DW, cleaned out filter and put a DW cleaner in it
    - Pegged out
    - Made beds
    - Organised school and swimming bags

Ziffit payment on it's way and need to pay a cheque in this morning which will go straight into the pot.

About to make myself some brekkie - kiddies playing nicely and already dressed.

Spending the day with MiL today - she needs some help doing jobs at home, but she will make me a lovely lunch as a thank you so I don't mind. Need milk but otherwise no spending :money:

  • Glad your feeling better and recognised the workaholic tendencies - can relate to that.

It's all about balance and being that little bit relaxed - not something I know much about - but I do try.

Health before wealth everytime. Have a nice day at MIL's.
Always have 00.00 at the end of your mortgage and one day it will all be 0's
