The food in the cafe was such a let down - microwaved sausage sandwiches for £4 a pop - a greasy spoon would have been better!

Feeling quite emotional. Still battling for DH invoices to be paid - it'll be next week now, they tell me. I told them it had better be otherwise court papers will follow.

    Pitfalls of self employment sometimes.

Sorry to hear about the money - you have my sympathy... it's so frustrating!

Regarding your hair, spending on yourself might be hard from a MFW point of view, but I'm sure it must increase your productivity to feel good about yourself. :)

    Pity about breakfast :(

The money arrived, hurrah! Haven't had time to post as life so hectic, school holidays means so little time to actually sit, gather thoughts and type a post. Today has been hectic. I have:

    - Done 6 hours work
    - DH VAT return done and submitted - now just to pay it
    - 10,000 loads of laundry
    - Ordered dad's birthday present
    - Created a HUGE pile of stuff to take first thing in the morning to local place that buys clothes/dvds/books - will be there at 9am
    - Bootful of carp for the tip
    - Arranged to get upstairs carpets professionally cleaned
    - Cleared out a load of stuff to go in the recycling bin
    - Loaded dishwasher

Need to pay some cash into the bank tomorrow which can then be shuffled into savings. Accountant assures me he will have a corporation tax figure tomorrow - how much that is determines how much money we can take from the business. VAT bill is £6k so really hoping corp tax isn't lots too...

Tax bill is low so £2.5k taken from business, so savings now at £7k. Target was £9k by end of August so v far behind. Should be like this :T with having good savings amount but feeling more like this :o

Odd smell has appeared in DDs bedroom, really gross bodily smell. No stains anywhere, drawers etc all emptied, nothing on mattress (she's never ever wet the bed), nothing noticeable on carpet.

All I can conclude is something died under floorboards and will just have to wait for it to pass. Temptation to rip up carpet (was grim anyway, with at least two calpol stains) v high, so may end up replacing next week.

DS suddenly obsessed with Transformers, lego batman and super heroes generally. Totally ignoring all the paw patrol stuff he got for birthday. Sigh.... fleabay I come for second hand toys!

Are the summer holidays over yet :rotfl: we are just over the halfway mark and I am so tired! Keeping two small kiddies entertained for 12 hours per day is no mean feat!

Current account looks dire. I am lucky with my working arrangements that I have cover for school hols but that means a loss of income of around £100 a week - which I now realise we rely on heavily for all those "extras" that crop up.

Better up my game quickly otherwise SJ will be beating me to five figures :rotfl:
