    We are home :), however....

Remember I cancelled the boiler cover? Yep, that's right, come home to a broken boiler :( thermostat was stuck and likely that the heating has been blazing out all week :( turned it off at the mains - tomorrow will be spent sourcing someone to sort it out. Not a happy ATB tonight x

Thanks Jessie. Am miffed, but hopefully it will be sorted today, at least it's not the depths of winter and freezing.

Final day of school holidays today :T:rotfl: so no doubt we will go to the park at some point. I need to pay some of DH invoices, chase up some money and, hopefully, pay a small dividend. Though I have a funny feeling that may go straight on boiler repairs......

    Have fab days all xx

PS the pork mince from the to do list is being used today too :rotfl:

Hope boiler is an easy and cheap fix
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

    I know. However....

Current boiler fifteen years old apparently so it's not done bad. Other option was fix it at a cost of £750, but they likened it to throwing money at an old car. For £2k, we could get a new one with a 7 year warranty for parts and labour. And they do 0% so I don't have to use our OP money.

And to think I was looking forward to OPing the spare cash now we have finished paying for DS childcare :rotfl:

Oh blooming heck! Sorry to hear that ATB but I'm glad it's at 0% and I'm sure with your organisation and motivation you'll have that new boiler paid off in a couple of weeks! x

    Morning all :)

It's sunny, and I'm feeling much brighter than I was yesterday afternoon! Got a lovely piece of beef brisket out to stick in the slow cooker, along with the 19p carrots and parsnips we got in Lidl :money:

I am going to crack through my to-do list this morning, starting with opening the Leeds BS ISA, that's the next job when I've finished this cuppa. DS is watching Paw Patrol next to me and DD is in bed. Had confirmation I will be paid around £400 next week for some consultancy work I did a few weeks ago which is nice news.

Back later to update the to-do list xx
