Morning all
DH up and gone away for work for a couple of days, so I'm reading in bed with a :coffee: it's not often I get a peaceful cuppa before the children wake up so it's a nice treat!
Just tidied up £7.83 to the mortgage. I need to make £170 over the next 7 days to keep on track, I'll have to get my thinking cap on as we really are out of things to eBay. Will look once more at the budget to month end to see if anything can be done there.
Definite NSD today, much needed. Dinner already out to defrost :rotfl:
Have marvellous days all xMFW

Morning all
DD and I delcttered the garage yesterday. Result - £80 worth of car seats, pushchairs, outdoor games that are no longer used at all put on Gumtree and sold to the same person within the hour, hurrah! That has been duly OPd.
DS has been growing a lot again recently, so my job for this afternoon is to put together a clothing bundle to eBay. Also have a pair of shoes to put on there - still applying the approach of 'would our life be impacted in any way if this item wasn't in it?'. I'm lucky I suppose in that I've never attached much sentiment to stuff, so delcuttering is easy.
Must dash, back later xxMFW

Great momentum ATB. Line drying washing pleases me too. We need to get our rotary line fixed into the ground again after the builders pulled it up. Would be useful if we had a washing machine too!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0

Thanks both for popping in. I really have to keep the momentum going if we are to beat this thing into submission.
Earmarked a few more bits to list so that is my plan for the next hour. Ziffit have emailed me to say they are checking through the items I sent them, and will pay me within 5 working days thereafter, so that's another £10 in the pot.
I had a bit of a wobble earlier. We are so close to the 20s, but it's still such a big number....MFW

Sorry hun, ignore me I'm just having a pity party! Silly really, and that sort of attitude won't do me any favours. I've listed four bits on fleabay (clothing bundles) and one has just sold on buy it now for £12, hurrah! Off to OP....MFW

Brief wobbles are allowed - but - you are doing so well I have every confidence you will get thereMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -
We all have wobbles ATB, regardless of the size of mortgage (well maybe not if it's 'only' £20k). It's painful when my mum points out she's only ever had a mortgage of ~£40k.... but things are different now and the only way to get through it is to keep on keeping on. At least we know we have the option to just let it run its course - which isn't the case if it's other types of debt (of course, we'd pay for it, but there's no compulsion to *have* to pay it off earlier, apart from a self-imposed one).
As we all know, and you especially, the little bits do all add up! You'll get there!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Another sale of £8, OPd. That's £100 OPd today in gumtree and fleabay sales. I'm really pleased, and also amazed at how well things are selling. Listing items with reasonable buy it now prices is working so well for us.
Thanks guys for being so supportive. Being extra tired today doesn't help. Off to declutter a chapter of my (library) book x
