I spent a productive 5 minutes loading old DVDs onto Music Magpie, which resulted in £6 winging its way to me next week once the have been collected.
Not a bad rate of pay, £1 a minute....:rotfl:
Edit - ebay item sold for £27, hurrah!MFW

Other eBay item sold as soon as it was listed - £35, very pleased. It was some high end brand new make up that I have never used, so I've released clutter and made some cash. :money: would be proud.
So that's £68 in sales from fleabay and MM this morning, not a bad morning's work :T All has been OPd, save for the £6 from MM which will arrive next week.
I need a lie down now... :rotfl:MFW

:j Happy 2 year birthday as a MFW to me! :j
Signature updated to show our new balance. With a fair wind and a few more notches tightened on the belt, we should be in the 20s this time next month.
In summary, since we began our journey two years ago, we have paid £37,067.07 off the mortgageWe plan to pay that much off it this year - I must be barmy :rotfl:
Without wittering on too much, thank you so so much to everyone who pops in and reads, it makes an enormous difference to my motivation levels and I couldn't do it without your kind words
This journey is changing us significantly. Focussing on the difference between needs and wants is extraordinary. For those who think we go too far let me be very clear - we do not deprive ourselves in ANY way. We have just learnt very very quickly that the things that mean the most to us and our little family cost very little, or nothing at all. Experiences over stuff is key. Hence why we are ebaying so much!
Here's to paving the road to having more of the most precious commodity in life - TIME - by getting rid of these millstones as fast as we can, enabling us to pick and choose how we spend our time. xxxMFW

Wise words,
We have friends that like to splash out feel the need to spoil each other and nothing less seems acceptable.
For instance we needed a new car last year it wasn't in my plan but needs must we researched test drove a couple, knew what we needed had to be big enough to fit 6 adults and tow our caravan luckily we did if we had just bought the car we liked it would not have done the job. They bought the car of their dreams without seeing or driving it and now they are having to downsize it again just buying straight from a car site.
OH and I have been together for nearly 25yrs our anniversary is in December he kept asking what I wanted oh just some twizzlers I joked (seriously) the red licqourice kind not the turkey ones. I am not a fashionista my wardrobe is mainly fitness wear - I work in that industry. Being 6ft tall and having size 10 feet does limit your choice of clothing and shops.
Time is important to us, we are ex army OH served away a lot missed birthdays and anniversaries never Christmas day we were lucky there. So for me a nice walk some where a hot chocolate or a picnic is my best date. Yes we have even gone to MCd's on valentines day or for an anniversary followed by the cinema and a pick & mix.
We still have treats and days out weekends away( our van) but if I can be mf sooner than later and he can retire earlier then that will be my reward.Mortgage
