Hi all and thanks for all advice so far,

I have this morning received the following email from the hotel:

    "Good Evening

Apologies for the delayed response, I have forwarded on a cancellation request over to my HR department and they will pick this up first thing in the morning.
Please do not worry about your fine. I have also attached an invoice from your visit with us that will also be considered by Parking Eye during the cancellation request process.

I will contact you if we need further information regarding your fine.
    Kindest Regards"

This seems to be okay however is it still advisable to contact Parking Eye myself directly?

This is not something that Parking Eye would like to see in front of a judge.
Just let the hotel sort it and confirm to you in writing

Imperative, if you have a Letter before Claim. Because of that I would NOT let the Hotel sort it out without you also emailing PE.

If PE hear nothing just yet (and they've heard not a dicky bird from you so far) they could plough ahead with a court claim. At which point, the Hotel - despite their best intentions saying 'don't worry about the fine(!)' will be told it is too late if court action has commenced.

Simply forward that email to ParkingEye's enforcement team as previously advised and put your PCN number in the subject line, today, now.

I think the clue to this is in the pathetic weasle faced reply from the manager who also thinks these Muppets have issued a fine:

....I have also attached an invoice from your visit with us that will also be considered by Parking Eye during the cancellation request process.

Why on earth does a management representative of the landowner think they have to be so subservient to their appointed contractor, especially when it's the onsite manager's full responsibilty to ensure bonafide guests are not harrassed by their bully boys.

Keep on top of this and don't let PE get ahead of you as Coupon- Mad advises.

It is pathetic how subservient landowners are, I agree! All because they swallow the spiel that this is some sort of important 'parking enforcement' like a security firm that they should somehow be thankful for.

And they are told that it is a 'service' that they need.

    They do NOT!

Jeez - almost no landowner seems to suss that this has all the hallmarks of a thug protection racket against their customers.

Thanks I will get in touch with Parking Eye directly asap, however I don't really want to submit an appeals form via there website as to do so I must admit to being the driver. Does anyone know where I can find the email address for Parking Eye's enforcement team?

So... is this a wind-up thread?!

Do not use the appeals page - the link I gave you told you not to use that and gave you the email address as well.

Post #20, you've had it since yesterday!

No this is not a "wind-up thread". I have not used the appeals page and have now contacted parking eye in the manner instructed in your previous post (#20).

Good, you may have now dodged a court claim in time. Fingers crossed for you!

Here the advice has to be a bit harsh sometimes to ensure people do something quickly enough, and you now have. I hope it now is confirmed as cancelled and no court claim arrives at all.
