    Hey guys, sorry i have not been on the forum this year, but i have been stabbing away at my debt, and have really made progress!

    I was #132 on the 2015 thread - please can you allocate me a new number? My target is 8800, and i am proud to say that as of today i stand at £3400 paid off!

    So my new balance is 3400/8800 38%

    I am so happy with this. I have been summoning up as much will power as i could to use extra money to make extra payments on my card. I have totally paid off my OD on my old bank account (although the bank still keeps charging me overdraft interest even though the balance was £2.00 credit and i have not used it for years), and i have transferred part of my mastercard balance onto a 0% so that i can make extra payments on MC to get it paid.
    It has been a challenge but it is so nice to see that balance go down.
    It has helped that i have moved in with OH and therefore my cost of living has reduced as bills are halved. We even managed to use our '£10 each a week in a tin in the freezer' to go to Italy last month (a last minute booking out of season and was amazing!) I was surprised how i didnt really notice that £10 a week!

    There is light at the end of the tunnel - i can see it!!

    I have deleted fbk so am using my time more wisely now. Will make sure i am alert for the 2017 thread because i am determined to be DFBX2017!!!
