I asked in another thread Si, I just wanted to know what type of coffee is sweetish and strongish and smooth? I'm not mad on coffee as such but I need it for energy and I hate when it's bitter.

Sorry, m'dear, haven't a clue. I'm just not sophisticated/fussy enough when it comes to coffee (or much else, come to that). Every time I get a rush of blood to the head and squander a fraction of my pension on something "better" than Tesco's "French" ground at £4 a 454gm bag, I regret it. One day I'll be old enough to know better.

    Hopefully ...

  • Mardatha - try Googling Whittard Coffee beans and then clicking the links or Taylors of Harrogate - they both have tasting notes - but bear in mind they will be based on a basic expresso shot.

    Will do, thanks! :D
  • The free Waitrose stuff gets my vote - very mellow but with a helpful wallop.

We havent got Waitrose up here :)
  • The Booths stuff runs it a dashed close second?

    (Similar pricing policy, too.)

mmmm Booths coffee is excellent, as is their tea :)
Edited to add: Booths coffee that they sell in the shop not the instant drink they offer as a loyalty cardholder perk.
