£20 Phone Line Transfer Charge - Moving from TalkTalk to Sky

OK - a bit more on this.
When I apply for the offer and indicate that I am the existing bill payer at the relevant address the £20 charge is activated.
When I apply for the offer and indicate that I am applying in respect of an address I am about to move into the £20 is not activated. However it then tells me I am unable to keep the existing phone number.
Does anyone know what is going on?
The reality is somewhere in between. I currently live at the address concerned and have done for some time, but am not the current bill payer - my husband is. I am applying in my name as he is an existing Sky TV customer so wouldn't be eligible for the deal.0 -
Had exactly same when trying to redeem offer so went on live chat. Advisor told me to input info as if I had just moved in to remove the £20 charge. Once I received my welcome pack I could phone up to keep my number and also arrange the switch for a date that would prevent early termination charges from TT. Heres hoping he was right.0
