You're probably right @Sun_Addict! I remember the power cuts used to be rotated in shifts. One day you would be cut off from 6am to 2pm, then 2pm to 10pm, then 10pm to 6am. The 2pm to 10pm shift was the worst - you couldn't watch the telly in the evening and would be sitting in candlelight!😩Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟
Finished Emergency Fund- £10,000 April 2017

Hi @savingmore - I'm hoping to get up to Scotland to stay with DD and her OH for a few weeks at the end of May restrictions permitting. That's the nice thing about retirement- I don't have to factor in the limitations of only having X weeks holiday per year from work to play with - I can go where I like when I like (or hopefully I will be able to soon when Boris lets me!)
One of the first things I'll be doing though is a really detailed cleaning plan for the flat and a good declutter - which I haven't done in a while - I'll have plenty of time during the day now. I'm also going to make a list of jobs that need doing to the flat in readiness for moving. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

It’s very exciting - 2 weeks. Bet you can’t wait to get to see your dd.I used to love the evening power cuts of the 70s. We had a gas fire and cooker - a neighbour was all electric - they used to come over to us of an evening- have tea at our house and we’d play cards by candlelight. Plus we didn’t have to do our homework if our area was in darkness 😀January spends - £587.585
