Thanks beanie - I think the price is low because it's for a cylinder boiler (which I have already) rather than a combi. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

I think I might join you to hobnob with the jet set if you decide to go - just knock on - won’t take me long to get ready 😂🤪👍- I wish 🙄..... The only hobnobbing (ooooh that sounds a bit rude) I’ll be doing is with the biscuit variety and might even involve a lovely cuppa too 🍪☕️I was thinking the boiler was an excellent price but it not being a combi explains it.
Enjoy your trip to Waitrose and walk with your friend. I’m hoping for a walk with family.January spends - £587.586 -
I’m up for a trip to Monaco 🥂🤣 The boiler price is good and you’ll hopefully get many years service from it 👍
Enjoy your weekend and not having to log on 😁I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
Wow didnt realise combi boilers were THAT more expensive. Ive had one for years and theres one in this new house. Got to save alot on hot water to make up the difference. Maybe think about going back to a tank systemDedicated Debt Free Wanabee 🤓

I didn't bother with Monaco – perhaps next weekend…..😎
I felt a bit meh and down over the weekend – I didn't sleep very well and woke up very early each day. Apart from the Waitrose trip on Saturday, I didn't go out at all in the end. Just about got myself together to get the housework done and that was it! Although I did keep up with my French on Duolingo – it's getting harder and I keep forgetting the grammar!😫
My masks arrived over the weekend (they arrived from China of all places!). I put one on to try, but had my glasses on at the time so these steamed up! Great! So if I do go on public transport I won't be able to read!
We did have our weekly family Zoom meeting last night which made me feel a lot better. DSis asked me over there next weekend as part of our 'social bubble.' She said she would come over and pick me up and bring me back – I said to wait and she how she feels at the weekend as she's been run ragged at her job lately.
I liked sleeping in my bamboo sheets last night. They were cool and silky. Yet to see how they will wash – advice is a cold wash so that will save a bit of electricity. Hopefully they will live up to their price!🛌
And so it's the start of another WFH week….
The plumber texted me this morning and confirmed he was picking up the new boiler today and would be over tomorrow to fit.
I was watching the news and couldn't believe how the idiots outside Niketown in Oxford Street were behaving today - no orderly queue whatsoever and a scrum to get through the doors! Quite a few with no masks. And this on top of the madness in London at the weekend!😡
I've got to pop out tomorrow lunchtime so it will be interesting to see what shops are open now in our little high street.
Our nice local greengrocers has started a seasonal delivery veg box service for £15 – their produce is really good, but there is quite a lot of fruit and veg in the box and I think it would be too much for me and I don't have a lot of space in the freezer to freeze it
Finished watching the Hillary Clinton episodes – I found them really interesting and gave me a different slant on her than I seen or read about before.
Have a good evening everyone

Could you get a fortnightly veg box? It's what I do as there is too much and I hate waste.
Good sheets are always worth it. I paid a fortune for linen sheets a few years back and I have never regretted it.
I hope your mood picks up and sleeping improves. If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

That's an idea about the fortnightly box DIA - that could work. I especially wanted to support him as a local business and he's the last greengrocer left here within walking distance. I'll pop in tomorrow when I'm out and ask. I've not used him hardly since the lockdown as I wanted to keep to one main weekly shop and have been using Waitrose so would like to start up again.

I’m on day 66 of my Duolingo Spanish, doing quite well although it’s getting harder grammar wise. I started learning French when I was 8 and took it through to O’level. Had no need to use it until 10 years ago when we went to Bergerac for a long weekend and no one spoke any English whatsoever. The locals were extremely friendly and wanted to chat constantly and they had no idea I wasn’t French. I got away with it by saying as little as possible 🤣 I go to Spain 3 times a year so that’s why I decided to brush up on my very basic Spanish. I’ve been told I speak Spanish with a French accent though 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

Apparently If you put your glasses on top of the mask it is meant to stop your glasses steaming upNot tried it myself yet though4
