Well done on the bonus and the donations. You have worked hard for a very long time for your income so don't feel you need to apologise for earning it xDedicated Debt Free Wanabee 🤓

Great news about the bonus and well done on the donations. I agree with the above comment, you've worked hard for it. At least you're actually working, some folks are being paid to sit at home watching Netflix. What annoys me is the assumption by the media that we've all got time on our hands right now - well no some of us are still working.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

It's very good for you that your financial situation hasn't changed for the worse and kind of you to give more to charity. Which charities do you support?moving_forward said:Your meh day is probally down to social isolation. Its got to be very hard for those of you living alone in these times xxmoving_forward said:Which dairy free milk do you think best in coffee? I was veggie for a few years but the diet didn't suit my health at the time. I do however have to limit my dairy and would love to find a good milk alternative that doesn't split in coffee or taste yuck. I like almond milk straight up but its awful in coffee. Soya milk tastes yuck in anything and I tried coconut milk at costa once and the taste of coconut ruined the coffee.
@moving_forward- the best dairy free milk I have found is oat milk and I use the Oatly brand which I also use in coffee and also for porridge, muesli, etc. When I turned vegan I bought a jar of Coffeemate because my sister was visiting. She said she would try the Oatly in her coffee and liked it - I didn't think she would so just goes to show. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Thank you @milann, @beanielou, @moving_forward, @Sun_Addict and @in_need_of_direction. That's very kind of you all. I'm conscious that I'm not employed in the front line of this crisis like so many are and who are also working for a lot less salary than those in the industry I work in.
When this madness ends I do hope going forward that the real heroes of this crisis continue to be lauded and this empty notion of worshipping all these gormless so-called 'celebrities' is put back in it's box never to be opened again - although human nature being what is is, I doubt it. It's certainly made me rethink things. And I agree with you @Sun_Addict - a great many of us are actually WORKING From Home and putting our hours in!Today I have my walk later although it's looking chilly out there today. I've also had some more birthday cards delivered which is lovely.SCRIMPY MSE THINGS
Just Waitrose visit yesterday plus lottery ticket for tonight. No spending on the agenda today.30 DAY CLEANING PROJECTI've done the housework this morning and washed and dried the towels and tea towels. Those of you who regularly read my diary over the years will roll up your eyes with boredom but I've also decided to start my yearly detailed housework project again over 30 days - usually I don't start it till November so everything is shipshape to put the Christmas deccies up, but now seems a good time to start as I do have some extra time in the evenings now that I'm not commuting. I've consulted my housework bible '30 Days To A Clean And Organised House' and found I've already carried out some of the chores over the last few weeks - i.e. sorting out the food cupboard (including the spice drawer), fridge, freezer and the cupboard under the sink that holds the household and cleaning products.
So Im technically starting today on DAY THREE - today's Cleaning task was clearing and cleaning the freezer - which I've already done. The Maintenance Task was a little extra cleaning emphasis on the bathroom and I did this this morning. That leaves today's Organising Task which is clearing out the junk drawer and This will get started this this afternoon.Right off to catch up with diaries now!😀Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

I've just been moaning about the mess my house is. I don't get on with Flylady, so I am going to use your system. I just ordered the book. Thank you
Well done re your charity contributions. It's nice to think of others. That said, you work hard and I'm sure you have earned your bonus.
Enjoy the rest of your day.If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Thank you so much for your nice post @doingitanyway
I think you will find the book helpful. It's clever in the way that it makes you do a daily tidying session in all rooms with with some light cleaning, plus you sort out a different room for a few days - first clearing and tidying those bits that are usually hidden like cupboards etc, and then you end up cleaning all the places that are on show. Because I have a small flat I find that some parts of the book don't apply to me like dining and utility rooms so it's not too onerous. I always find the worst of the process is the sorting of the clothes and books!😱Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟
