Do agree that it’s too easy to get addicted to the constant news flow...need to put some time in to just relax and breathe sometime.Take care xxx3

I don't know about SA but I only have 2. One is the laptop which I rarely use at home, usually only when I go away. My 2 computers at home are one online & one definitely not online. The not online one has all my personal stuff like finances & the friends books that I do. No-one can possibly hack it. Have I ever mentioned I am a bit paranoid & my son is too & he has set this up for me, my personal IT specialist! The online one, which obviously I am on now, has so much security on it, thank you DS, that I do not have passwords saved that matter anyway. I have a "thing" which I press a button on which switches the screen, mouse & keyboard over to the other computer. Anyone wants to know just ask!Frankly I don't much like laptops, they are like an emergency thing which seem to encourage you to slump. With more people working from home a proper computer set-up is better for posture. Sitting on a settee with a laptop for a working day is not a good idea & stores up back problems for the future.

I hope you are settling into WFH. Having a 'work station' someplace in the home would help you.
I agree with you badmemory, you do need to think about your back if you are planning on WFH for a bit.
Take care.If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Thank you all so much for your posts! With regard to working from home, I honestly do not have any space for any sort of table. My ironing board is quite wide and I used it quite successfully with my laptop a couple of years ago when I was doing tons of online tests in readiness for an exam. I have a Lloyd Loom chair that belonged to my Nan that I sit one when typing on the laptop and I can adjust the ironing board to the correct height for this.I have now been given my firm's laptop! I've been testing it out today and all went ok though the test will be when I try and use it at home. I've actually ordered a bigger keyboard and mouse for £15.99 from Argos as I will be a lot more comfortable using these with the laptop if I'm carrying out my usual work tasks. The firm will reimburse me, but I can't pick them up till Monday morning at my local Argos so I've told the boss I won't be starting work at the crack of 9am! I would like to buy one full size monitor at least, but wouldn't have anywhere to put it on the ironing board! The trains are now hardly full during normal rush hours. They have reduced the carriages in my normal train from twelve to eight and there was still hardly anyone on the train with me today. The City is dead – Pret have taken away all their tables and chairs and are operating as just a take-away. My friend and I sat on the wall at lunchtime and had our coffees………….My final day is tomorrow along with a couple of my colleagues and then from next week the office will be operating with a skeleton staff who will be looking after any post that comes in and scanning it to recipients.I've had some nice messages from clients – obviously they are worried about their investments, but it's lovely that they take the time to send their good wishes to us.I managed to buy some Calpol today in Boots for one of my colleagues who is working from home and lives rurally. He has baby twins and couldn't source any Calpol. I've posted it off to him today.I went and had my nails done last night. My nail girl is self-employed and works out of a local hair salon. She said she has had hardly any cancellations and will carry on until there is a Government directive to the contrary – the salon owner has said the same as well – mind you they are very scrupulous with cleaning – a junior was going around disinfecting everything! She did say something which made me quite angry – she has a lot of furniture in storage and was thinking of selling it off and giving up her container space. The storage manager told her that all containers have now been taken and there is a waiting list. Apparently they have been hired by people storing tons of household cleaning stuff, tins etc. Obviously these are panic buyers or those hoping to make a bit of killing if things got worse in the supermarkets. Although I am glad to read that the supermarkets are finally stopping people mass buying. A friend was in her large Tesco in London and some guy with a mask on was trying to fill up his trolley with cleaning equipment. She said she was going to say something sharp to him, but a big burly security guy tapped in on the shoulder and told him to put ex amount back on the shelf – which he had to do!Funny stories to cheer one up:• My good friend who I work with had to pick up her keyboard and mouse last night at her local Argos. She then went to Sainsburys – which apparently was bare! We have started a WhatsApp group for our team so we can keep in touch and she posted that it looked like she would be having keyboard and chips for dinner!• My nail girl said that they have a little old lady of 94 who regularly has her hair done at the salon each week. She is absolutely livid that she will have to stay indoors and won't be able to have her weekly shampoo and set! She reckons if she ever meets Boris in the street she is going to run him down with her mobility scooter as it's all his fault! I don't think Boris will be hitting our town any time soon though – he's got a bit on his plate at the moment!SCRIMPY MSE THINGS:Just the usual budgeted nails, birthday cards and some grocery bits. And I remembered to buy my second class stamps ready for Christmas before the cost goes up next week - made me feel there was some sense of normaility. And an Agatha Christie on kindle – Murder is Easy – which I haven't read – I find her books quite soothing during these strange days – harks back to a more tranquil time - even though there are muders all over the place! And just as I'm finishing off here I've just seen a message from a colleague on our WhatsApp group – his little 11 month old grandson is in intensive care with suspected CV and is awaiting results of tests. It's so awful. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Thanks for your funny stories SSG. We do need something positive at the moment.
I'm sorry about your friend's grandson. Murder is Easy is one of my favourite Agatha Christie's of all time so I hope you enjoy it

Thank you @beanielou and @HairyHandofDartmoor.As you can imagine the family are distraught and he is being moved to another hospital.
My friend who I worked with called me on my way home tonight - she had taken her laptop home today and wasn't due to come back in again. She's having a mare with the laptop and can't log in. She thinks she might have to bring the laptop back into work if IT cant sort it out tomorrow!
I got a taxi home from the station tonight - I felt exhausted!

@Sunshine_girl2 - I think my friend is worrying that her WiFi signal isn't that great. You forget about things like that.Your WhatsApp group sounds great fun. Our lot have been posting a few funny bits from YouTube etc but news on the poor little boy has sobered us up a bit. ☹️Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟
