Your holiday has soon come around SSG. I hope you manage to ride the horses as that sounds amazing. Hopefully an active holiday will offset any tempting desserts. I tend to eat more desserts and cake when I holiday in Scotland but do so much walking that my weight is unaffected

Hiya👋 Wow your holiday has come around so quickly. We’d hoped for a cruise last year but put it on the back burner for a while until my arm was ok.....knowing our luck I’d end up in the perfect storm or on a ship with some virus on......I’m feeling very pessimistic atm - what will strike next....must give myself a good shake up and pull my positive pants up and start looking for something nice and something to look forward to. I hope you have a great time - get to ride the horse- miss the storm and manage to eat lots of deserts - you’ll have to break them in half so the calories leak out 🧁🍪🍦😂 - if only 🤞👍January spends - £587.587

I think we've missed being a 'virus' ship owing to the fact we're quite far away from the maelstrom! However my cousin and her OH are booked to fly to Singapore shortly to join a cruise and really don't know what to do. The travel agent has told them that the cruise is still taking place. If they cancel they'll lose £6,000! What a mess!☹️Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Quick catch up - we're on Day 2 of the cruise. Everything went well with flight over and transfer. The ship is lovely - very modern and comfortable and all the staff and crew members are very helpful. The food is very good and they have taken into account veganism. Breakfast and lunch are served buffet style and DD and I have managed here apart from coming slightly off piste at breakfast. Dinner is a served three course meal and our vegan dinners here have been very nice.Yesterday we went for a walking tour around a very pretty town which had been rebuilt in the Art Nouveau style after a terrible fire destroyed most of the town. We experienced strong winds, rain, hail, sleet, snow and sunshine all within two hours! Oh - and I forgot the 🌈 at the end!😁. However I'm afraid my feet has protested this morning after spending the walking time in my new boots so have cried off the three hour trip this morning! DD has gone off for a forest hike so I'm here on board writing this and looking at a very sleety vista through the large windows! Both DD and I are booked on a trip round the town on the voyage back so I should visit most things I would have missed today. Our astronomy lectures are very interesting. We had one on the Arctic skies yesterday and today we're covering the Northern Lights in detail. Hopefully once we cross the Arctic Circle well get to see the actual Lights in all their glory!MSE News - We're all inclusive on the ship with free tea/coffees thrown throughout the day. I did buy a vegan wrap yesterday as we didn't have enough time for lunch between our walk and the lecture and have also bought some fizzy water and some decent Illey coffees at the bar - you get a little card that you can put your spends on and then you pay on your credit card at the end of the cruise.

Thank you guys. 😁
It's just me and DD milann. I was originally going on my own but DD decided she would like to go too. She loves Norway but has only visited in the summer. Her OH is not keen on cruising so he wasn't up for it. It's lovely too have her here with me and spend some time together. And she's very knowledgable about getting around in cold, snowy climes so that's another plus too!😁
Crossed the Arctic Circle early this morning. Have just stopped briefly to load up in a little village with truly spectacular scenery - snowy jagged peaks and and the sun just peeping through the clouds. Setting off soon and will be hitting the next town in a couple of hours. Then I'm off for a tour and DD is going on an Arctic coastal walk. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟
